Hi everyone!
Today is so exciting for me!!! I am stuffing $1332 in cash, but $21,350 in my 401k Envelope!!!!! I also have $150 placeholder for my monthly 529 (there’s the $21,500 not in cash 😉 This amount is what my employer contributes to my 401k and substitute for pension. It’s really not a pension, but that’s the easiest thing I can compare it to for now. Halfway through we do a $2000 cash condensing which helps minimize these envelopes and is so satisfying. What a wonderful memory of your dad! My dad also loved liver (without onions) but he never made it and we honestly haven’t eaten it in years. I remember liking it but can’t remember what it tasted like.

You are so lucky!! My roommate in law school was from St. Bernard Parish and her mom made an amazing gumbo. Is it awful that I love tomato-less gumbos? 🙈 My favorite one is at Chef Amelie in New Orleans…actually I could go for all the food in New Orleans right about now…
