To your point at 2:11, you were actually correct the first time. We used to not be able to reforge blue items, and then GGG introduced great QoL that allowed us to do that! And then with this new harvest bench, they promptly removed it. If you see in the clip right afterwards it says "reforge a rare item", no mention of magic or normal rarity anymore. For this reason you actually cannot harvest reforge to reroll flasks anymore either, which is sad.
OH WTF. I didn't even notice! Thanks for pointing that out. When I was editing, I was like "why the heck am I making this rare? We can just do it on magic items now"
This perfectly describes me. Every single time I try to craft I end up in another country, covered in mud, being humped by a stray dog and with a huge headache and I have no idea how I got there.
Its exactly more risky to remove something or scary, and pity there is no reforge „mod” more common, but you can now craft it with fossils, so I guess they acually made this crafting, so everything in the game is important to use, Idk if everybody noticed it.
Without crafting checkpoints it feels terrible. You can use all your knowledge and money to create something unique and specific for a build and if everything fills up everything comes down to annulling...that's not fun. Essentially killed reasonable influenced awakeners orbs and my drive to craft/play

I've made a nice profit essencing and harvesting bases, usually 1 divine or so in the black. I feel like some people are shy about crafting so it's a good opportunity to make a bit of coin for a casual player like myself.
It's not close to being dead but we already have so many slot maschines in the game. Being susceptable to fill out your mods when you are unlucky and hit one or multiple bad annuls isn't what I would call fun. Either way, thanks for the video o/

Dang that's a very specific chest. I was playing cold BV and found the redeemer aura effect was the strongest damage boost mod. Ended up with something like spell crit + additional curse + aura effect. It's also WAY easier to craft being basically deterministic.
This was about 12.5 Divines but it VERY smooth and lucky. I tried crafting one myself after this that cost about 8 divines and doesn't have the unveiled mod and only -T2 spell crit :(. But it's still a massive upgrade over the crap I had!
Very cool craft. Would be interesting to hear you describe what you would have done if certain steps failed, for example what would you have done if Aisling removed a desirable mod instead?
If aisling removes your extra curse you reforge caster again (since you still have the suff safe on the item) to get it back, craft a new suff safe and aisling again until you hit it
Nice chest! I almost made one of those for myself yesterday but filled up my prefixes on the additional curse step and the Yolo Annul hit the suppression, so I think RNGesus is trying to tell me to just go Glass Cannon after all.
I crafted myself a similar chest and the exact same happened to me, except I annulled my T1 spell crit :( tried another 7 times and could only get T2 so gave up and stuck with it and will use my imprint when I farm more. :)
Okay I had finally got a comfortable enough amount of divines up to craft something, was going to make a +phys amulet, used 'cannot roll attack mods' on an amulet, went to harvest reforge physical, and it removed the craft (expected) and rolled an attack modifier. But for you it did respect your 'suffixes cannot be changed' - so I'm confused, I thought harvest just didn't respect those anymore, making the change even worse. I guess those crafts are respected? Only some of them?
Ooh...Reforges have always worked that way with Cannot Roll Attack Mods unfortunately :( What you need to do is an Augment Physical for a +2 amulet :( I'm not sure what the order of process is but I think it will reroll suffixes, remove the Cannot Roll Attack Mods and then add the physical mod if you do a reforge phys with prefixes cannot be changed + cannot roll attack mods?

Wished I've had seem this video before making my chest but still think I would prefer mine because I needed the mana reservation of essences and I did it on a non-influenced item so I could get the exarch and eater implicits
In previous league i crafted another "god tier" hunter body armor for BV and it was with loathing essence- spam essence until you get spellcrit+supress+essence mod or supress+essence and annul shit suffix for lock and reforge caster. My suffixes was - 10% mana res, t2 spell supr. t1 crit chance(i was fine with t2 supr). After that i lock suffixies and reforge caster for additional curse and did the same. I had good chaos res on my belt(it was 60+% ) Chaos res for its fine suffix,but not the god tier.
That was never gone! The mods that were removed that everyone is upset over were Harvest Reforge keeping suffixes/prefixes which can force you into 50/50 Annuls and potentially brick items if you reforge x and fill up the mods :(
Definitely not, especially not without elevated spell crit and some good divining :( Although I'm not sure what the heck constitutes as mirror tier these days. This is about the next best thing though!
It really does feel far more expensive. I do have a job and it's not a coincidence that I'm doing community crafting this early in league when usually I'd be crafting my own stuff by now :D But I still think it's a little bit of an exaggeration to say that you have to be a full timer to do any crafting at all

See, this is my biggest issue. I don't think I have the right kind of build that does the type of damage or have the type of life needed to just farm al these currency & bases to craft. I have no idea where on earth to start
I'd check out a good build from a content creator that is tried and tested and then follow a strategy that is also tested! For builds, there's tons of great creators: Subtractem, Palsteron, CrouchingTuna, Pohx, Mathilification, Ghazzy, Zizaran...There are a ton more and I know I'm forgetting some great ones. In terms of strategies, I feel like Palsteron has been really on the ball with providing good strategies lately :) So the trick is to find a good build that functions very cheaply, and then find a fun strategy and just stick to it!

I hope they realize how many steps backwards they are taking by removing reforge keep suff/pre and end up adding them again… This whole harvest+currency change just feels like they are trying to make crafting less accessible to everyone and more RNG, it’s all just starting to feel like lost ark’s honking chances to me.
Its not a step backwards, its a step sideways.. crafting got too easy and was too powerful.. currency was too easy to farm.. knowing what to do, you could basically get near bis full char in under a week.. unpopular opinion but.. I actually prefer this way..

Im guessing they think this is where eldritch implicits/crafting are meant for although the currency is difficult to farm even when its not super expensive. On top of that f if you want to work on something thats not a body, glove, boots or helm
crafting is not dead, its just sleeping really stiff because of some back pains, also the larva on it is because its trying this new diet where you lose weight by letting them eat your fat, also also, the bad smell is just the new cologne it bought from amazon...
Craftings isnt just scarier, crafting is dead for those that dont spend alot of time playing the game. Lost over 100 divine these league on crafting. So much RNG. For me its not worth the time investment.
Unpopular opinion perhaps but.. Im enjoying the league a lot.. Sentinel was just stupidly easy to get everything bis.. It still needs tweaks but I prefer having stuff to work towards rather than drop a few scarabs in map device and boom, instant currency..

Yeah, but then you have no way of forcing spell suppression on the chest, so it kinda depends on what you want.

I would think the Exarch/Eater implicits would be more powerful than a single spell crit mod.
additional curse is also from influence. And that is a powerful mod which you can't get from Eldritch Influence.

Crafting high end gear IS dead; at best you're doing educated gambles i.e. Texas Hold 'Em or Blackjack.
But crafting mirror tier shit is the problem and is dead 😂
