So far the Wolves have made a team with Durant, Beal and Booker (who did have a legitimately impressive record when all 3 played) and the reigning NBA Champions look like play-in teams… Every franchise player should be looking at Anthony Edwards and taking notes. Ant is elevating his team, coaching staff, management and overall franchise to a whole new level. This is insane and awesome to get to witness.
He is amazing but gets too much credit.

Murray is a far cry from his last playoff self. Without him at his very best, Denver struggled against the Lakers and would need a miracle to survive the Wolves.
Honestly, the Lakers would beaten the Nuggets had they acquired Dwight Howard and another big man at center. Keeping AD at center simply does not work when playing the Nuggets! Either way, my hats off to this young Timberwolve team, their defense is soo damn good! I was tired of those cocky Nugget fans. I am hoping they sweep them! 😂😅😂
Jokic is great, he just didn't play well the last couple of games (including the last game against the Lakers). The real problem is Jamal Murray. I said before this series even started that Nuggets have no chance if Murray doesn't start playing loke his usual self. He is horrible

It was crazy to watch the Wolves defense. It was the sustained intensity level that really impressed me. That relentless swarming defense you usually see towards the end of a close game--only they played like that for 90% of the game, even when they were up by 30. And when they emptied the bench at the end, even the reserves were playing like the game was on the line. Hoping they can put Denver away in 4 or 5 and then take on SGA and the Thunder in the West finals.

And try and match Minnys defensive effort. Thing I was worried about and with any team trying to repeat is how hungry are you. Won last year mission accomplished, gotta be hard to keep that fire. And as much as I love Joker and I do, he isn't Kobe or Mike. He is not obsessed like them lol and to repeat I think it starts with your best player. I know the wolves have that hunger and fire. Not so sure about the nugs. But next two games we will really find out just how much heart and fire our Nugs have. And they are a great team, with one of the best players I've ever seen. The truth is that if the Lakers (specifically LeBron) knew how to close out those games, they would've won the series. Remember, LA had the lead almost two times longer than Denver did. They just didn't have a closer. Minnesota does.

Nuggets look awful but the refs are not helping them one bit. So many missed and odd calls in several games it seems the refs are on protest. I just want to watch good games and the ref talk makes me want to turn on the view and eat a tub of ice cream.
Honestly the refs aren’t helping either team. They weren’t calling techs or common fouls in the first half despite players and coaches yelling at them constantly and a really physical half by both teams.

The refs are just bad in general two calls challenged in a 20 second time frame and both were reversed. A mucked up messy series favors Minnesota.

The NBA needs to decide what rules they are gonna follow and stick with it
They just need to to be consistent in one game and they actually were, the problem is - Minnesota is bigger and more physical and if the refs let them play, Denver is outclassed. Denver was relying on the typical Jokic not getting Offensive fouls called against him (his shoulder charges on his way to basket) and Kat getting his usual fouls called for the same thing Jokic does, which would unbalance the game and be bad refereeing. These refs called it evenly both ways (denver just gave up more frustration fouls) and Denver couldn't handle it. Then Jamal Murray tried to injure players - he deserves a suspension.
As a Laker fan I was smiling ear to ear the whole game. I can finally sleep with a little peace at heart

Detroit bad boys, Detroit 04, Bulls w/Rodman, these are the best defensive teams and I got to say, if these Wolves can win their first ring, they will be up there. McDaniels, the Alexander guy, Edwards that's a top 3 perimeter D all time.
