- I've recently become part of a stunt team, and we are working on a sword fight scene. We each had to make a helmet for ourselves, which is of course a great opportunity for me to make something. I decided to go with the design of the Elite Knight helmet from Dark Souls, and in this video, I'll show you how I made it.

Tip, spray paint is not a good idea for foam, the foam is too flexible, and the paint will crack over time if it's used, this is quite an old video, so this might've already come up, but normal acrylics or plaid fx paint Is the far better choice
Que buena
my man looking like the standard dark souls character
I plan I building this helmet out of actual metal (from the dump), but once the snow melts, so I could get back into my shop, and finish that suit if chainmail... 🤔
I'm happy to have found you. Will you be making any other Dark Souls armor?
Thank you for the video! Would love to see more!
I don’t currently have any more Dark Souls projects planned, as this was kind of spur of the moment. I really like the different armor designs though, so it’s not out of the question!
Would you consider doing a pattern for the Fallen knight helmet?
Thank you for making this!! Will def buy your pattern when I start this cosplay! :D
if you hadnt played dark souls yet, play it bcuz its a beautiful game.
that's called an armet or closed helm
Try helmet, but foam.
This made me laugh
Three reasons to make a helmet
1. DEUS VULT
2. Deus Vult means god wills it
3. DEUS VULT
Gostei muito parabéns. Vou tentar fazer.
Thank you for what you do.
This looks dope! Nice work! But i think you helmets are to smal or to short.
I was also a stuntman many years ago....if you ever want advice or have questions ,let me know
I really want to see this sword fight scene, sadly im 3 years late...
Dude you should do the Skyrim helmet.
Yes
The "cones" on the "ears" of the helmet are the hinges for the visor, the thing you keep calling the "face plate".
Is this was an actual metal helmet, you'd need a way to take it off.
With an armet or a close helm (what this thing would be historically), hinges is be how you get in and out of the helm.
We got a Mr history over here
@@swagy_mushroom imagine making fun of people for knowing things
Wow your lines are super clean and it looks really good plus very helpful great work!
Excuse me, could you please say what is that material. I don't understand english enough to hear it in video
Foam
hey have a complete set tutorial?
the in game helmet has a hinged chin cover connected to the armor on the sides of the neck
Subbed for that golden intro 🙌🏼
I really want to do this with metal
dang you need more subs
Nice
not bad
FIRST
Nice
Nice helm... Though I recommend your "stunt team" learn some HEMA and how to move faster in a choreographed fight. Even watching at x2 speed you guys looked slow. Look up Adorea Olomouc if you wanna see it done right. You guys looked like an elementary school production. I know that sounds very negative, but I'm just giving honest feedback and giving a few ways to improve.
krulty. Knight Armor Is Really Heavy So Your Actions Would Be Slow Due To The Weight Of The Armor.
Did You Really Just Delete Your Reply?
WarriorCreedYT Its still there for me. If it’s vanished for you, it means you reported it. I stand by what I said.
krulty weird. I Don’t See It.
WarriorCreedYT I said... No, it isn't and it wouldn't. Do some BASIC research into real armour before declaring ill-informed views as fact.
Do you really think full plate armour would have been worn if it makes you that slow? When anti-armour weapons existed?
Full plate armour designed for combat is only 20-30kg and its distributed across your ENTIRE body. Armoured vs Unarmoured mobility reduction is negligible. You're spewing misinformation. The average modern Automatic Rifleman's assault load in COMBAT is over 50kg and that is supported almost entirely on the torso alone. I do HEMA and my training equipment is on the heavier end of what a full harness of plate armour would weigh and I fight and train in that for hours. My speed when NOT in my training gear is the same. If I'm any slower in my gear, it's as I said earlier, negligible.
Copy/Pasted that from the comment that shows just fine for me. Probably comes off more than a little abrasive. But I dislike when people spread misinformation on a subject I'm quite knowledgeable and passionate about.
You look like my ex.
He's a Dark Souls fan too. ._.
In the Age of Ancients the world was unformed, shrouded by fog. A land of gray crags, Archtrees and Everlasting Dragons. But then there was Fire and with fire came disparity. Heat and cold, life and death, and of course, light and dark. Then from the dark, They came, and found the Souls of Lords within the flame. Nito, the First of the Dead, The Witch of Izalith and her Daughters of Chaos, Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight, and his faithful knights. And the Furtive Pygmy, so easily forgotten
With the strength of Lords, they challenged the Dragons. Gwyn's mighty bolts peeled apart their stone scales. The Witches weaved great firestorms. Nito unleashed a miasma of death and disease. And Seath the Scaleless betrayed his own, and the Dragons were no more.
Thus began the Age of Fire. But soon the flames will fade and only Dark will remain. Even now there are only embers, and man sees not light, but only endless nights. And amongst the living are seen, carriers of the accursed Darksign.
Yes, indeed. The Darksign brands the Undead. And in this land, the Undead are corralled and led to the north, where they are locked away, to await the end of the world... This is your fate.
