I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. I agree with it not being suitable for spitting larger logs.
What I have found it ideal however is for chopping medium to small bits of timber to feed into my portable wood stove / heater.
Its also good for making kindling.

had several thoughts of getting me an A1, but the small saw comes in more handy; in a zombiepocalypse the A1 might be usefull against doors blocking the way for the antizombie-stuff, but not for outdoor i think... gotten me the carabiners (also otacle) - they are very neat, sturdy and usefull.. (but wooly - that standard-hammer could need some TLC...)
