I do airsoft and paintball personally, and when I wanna chill and shoot I go with my airsoft buds, but when I wanna get super competitive: I either go with some ex-millitary buds into airsoft tournaments, or I go to paintball tourneys with some college buds I'm friends with
@@NoseyWhiskers I play airsoft, but i have also played paintball many times, and in my experience you do the same excercise, also is fair the say that in both games i have played in forest with slopes and unevenness so maybe for me is more the terrain than the sport

The biggest one for me is the clean up.
Airsoft by far. Hurts less, costs less(generally), more customization, no messy paint, looks better, better for the environment (no paint everywhere) (biodegradable bbs are required almost everywhere outdoors)
i only play airsoft tbh as i dont like paintball as much but i gotta disagree about the first 2 points😂

Good I want it to hurt more. Makes people think twice about cheating. And I gotta disagree with the “drip” part too. It’s different but still looks fire af. Also paint is biodegradable.
@@Shadows__07 I have to disagree on wanting higher pain. It makes it less fun to play fair because it hurts more, and cheaters are unlikely to change even if they get a paintball to the face.

When i was a kid, back in 2000-2006 we built the most amazing paintball course ever. We played paintball like the play aorsoft nowadays. We played war, and the course was huge so you could not see the other team at the start of the match. So much fun memories.
Paintball= burning money
Airsoft= slowly burning money
How so? You buy a marker, tank and hopper in milsim you buy Gun, sight, (Laser, tracer, light, pressure pad optional.) plate carrier, belt, sidearm, holster, helmet. I can keep going.
@@momoniji6439 milsims are more intense versions of the game. Kinda like competitive paintball. I used to go paintballing when I was younger and now I'm a casual airsofters. Fom my personal experience I have spent less for more gear in airsoft while in paintball I spent more money for less gear. I could go more in-depth but I can only say so much in a single comment. PERSONALLY. In MY experience. The paintball community was... not good. Mind you, with airsoft on the rise, I imagine they're pretty similar now. But maybe bc airsoft is an honor sport it helps weed out bad actors (sometimes). Airsoft was cheaper, and being a military nerd I loved the 1:1 replicas in both the guns and gear. In the grand scheme of things. Both are "combat sports" and both are fun. Airsoft just won my heart. I was a kid when I was into paintball. But transitioned to airsoft when I was teen and stayed on that path since. That's just my experience and preference. Wouldn't say no to paintball now or anything, but definitely am an airsofter.
exactly the same for me! Started to be interested in paintball. Played it for a while. It got to expensive. Years go by and I discover airsoft..... now here we are :)
You did not just say that the airsoft community is better than paintball lmao. I can just be scrolling through youtube and I would find comps of airsoft fights, magdumps and cheaters. Any big youtuber has cheater experiences on the daily.
I like airsoft because it's more realistic and bbs fly farther and it's not messy lol. But I might play paintball in the future.
Why not just play them both? I love airshit for trying new gear and new ways i wanna build my real steels. Paintball i just go for fundamentals and go harder. For me, theyre equally fun for different purposes. But id choose paintball cause murderball go hard

Unless you’re paintballs never bust like mine always done and airsoft ammo so much cheaper and even though it still stings but your body doesn’t really swell that much with bb’s
I love both paintball and airsoft. Both communities have plenty of nice people. Both activities are equally fun. Both have their pros and cons. Airsoft can also be expensive when you get into real steel gears. The conclusion of this video is absolutely true. What's important, IMO, is to go out and have fun.

Paintball wins every day over milsim. Good community (Not kids that mag dump then run away and way less fights) Cheaper (Yes milsim community ammo isint the only cost in the game) Milsim has little original parts (Copied guns, Parts, HPA, Speedsoft and gear.) And less cheaters.

imo airsoft is a better sport for everyone coz u can do both casual or a tactical dude but with paintball i see it as more casual fun anyone can do
I'll play both and they are both fun, but paintball feels more like only competitive, not saying shooting plastic bbs at each other isn't but with airsoft there is more you can do, your guns look cooler, its something you would probably invest in more, and the events for airsoft bring way more opportunities than going to go run out on a field just to shoot non stop (if you understand what I'm getting at there). overall personal opinion, airlsoft is better and paintball is fun for meetups or competitive competition.

Airsoft is more played than paintball pretty much everywhere nowadays. It surpassed paintball in popularity shortly before 2010 and ever since then airsoft has been growing while paintball has stayed stagnant.

Neither, force on force with sim rounds reigns supreme. That is why the atf has harassed sim round producers into not selling to civilians in the United States.
Some licensed training facilities used by law enforcement and military run by civilians are exempt.

The Fsc is pretty sick not overly realistic but shoots good. I think scenario paintball has quite a few good options for realistic marker. Airsoft has more options because it’s only played in 1 format.

Airsoft costs more to upkeep and is less "sport like" and more LARP. I prefer paintball due to the higher quality guns and marking ability. I play airsoft too and I do like the cheap bbs, individuality, and more accurate projectiles. But paintball has the paint, sporty ness I love, and the guns, which are way WAY easier to tech than airsoft guns.
Very true with paintball markers being so much easier tech-ed than airsoft ones! Otherwise I find paint so much more expensive! of course it can mark but I actually like my stuff not completely dirty!

Having played both. Skill level in paintball (competition level) is way higher than airsoft. Plus airsoft is soft full of moaners complaining about head shots (boo hoo)
