Steve has a great voice and can justifiably be proud of winning XFactor.

He is right about refusing to be a puppet, and releasing covers, but with hindsight, financially, it was the wrong thing to do.

Sharon O is a self serving, self obsessed loser who lashed out at Steve because he stood up to her behind the scenes, and she was bitter than he wasn't her act and she wasn't going to win the final, having no act in the final. I am glad she did that and it made him win. It exposed who she really is. Respect to Steve for owning all of this. He deserved better than he got and I wish the best for the future.
Euro-African she’s a very good judge of character and she will call you out if you’re a fake. She’s not afraid. She’s real and well liked. She’s one of the nicest celebs out there. I’ve met her. She’s also very kind to the paps and doesn’t take her position for granted.
He had the best voice he would've won anyway.
The problem with shows like X Factor & Britains Got Talent is that if you're on the show with an attitude that's "different" to what they want to be, they'll feed you to the wolves and bury you in tabloid gossip.
If you've noticed that all the final contestants act like they don't have a bad bone in their body. But that's just the way the show has expressed them into.
These are just horrible shows made by horrible people aimed for the stupid general public.

Saw him in a small theatre in Nerja, Costa del Sol a few years ago and he was tremendous - still got such an awesome tone to his voice.

Ill be honest, I was one of the ones who sees your tweets and thought you were bitter. After seeing this I have changed my mind! People need to look behind the scenes before judging. You have an awesome voice. Love the new tune (as said on Twitter) I wish you were given the chance to be your true self. Too good for fix factor Steve x
I just want to know what happened behind the scenes for osbourne to take such a vitriolic dislike towards brookstein. I get that some people don't like each other...it happens all the time....but to make it so personal and so public just seems wrong.

You know, I like Steve Brookstein, I don't care what the haters say.
The whole show has been a farce this past decade, the bosses treat the contestants like puppets, they build them up then knock them down, whilst every year Simon Cowell and the producers keep getting richer.
It's also funny that the winner is always somebody who is commercially viable, and who the judges had been championing.

It seems people hate him because Mad Sharon (the one who ripped into a young girl at the weekend to make herself look important) & Cowell have said to hate him.
Cowell admitted a vendetta to destroy Will Young's career because he hadn't wanted him to win. Matt Cardle was also dropped for wanting to record originals. Cowell said he tried to get 1D the win. Janet Devlin had 6 wks of producer hate to turn the public against her because she refused to fake. The list goes on...

Do feel for him cause he is a good singer and back in 2004/2005 it wasn't as predictable who was going to win so u can tell how hard he worked just that alone, he does have a market that he could appeal to, I think maybe it's what Steve admitted that maybe he should have done a second or even third album of covers and then he would have had more exposure which would have maybe made him able to continue his career on his own i.e. regardless of falling out with Simon Cowell
I heard a rumour that Simon Cowell told Steve to sing at some woman's birthday whist she was working on the checkout. He supposedly refused, and rightly so.

Leon Jackson has put x factor behind him and IS gigging and has been working hard on his own music ever since he was dropped and will be releasing an album soon. 7 years later, Steve Brookstien is still moaning about x factor. Feel so sorry for Steve. Simon Cowell is such a manipulative git. He just wanted him to do covers! He got bad press! And was totally set up.. X Factor is all about the Brand. They don’t give a toss about the Artists! It’s about a TV show... Shame. Because some of them are talented... This journalist is good.
I read his book, and when he was doing the live tour all contestants would come on stage singing their piece one by one, and when it was Steve's turn they introduced the chicken man right before him. Completely intentionally sabotaging Steve's part. And months later ITV aired an X Factor year review episode, and one it finished Max Clifford rang Steve telling him if he'd speak to the press he'd bury him.
The way he was treated by everyone associated with the show terrible.

Not really, as basically he had the best voice, so he deserved it.
We all know how Mr Cowell treats winners who don't perform(read make enough money).He obligates people to do things which don't work out and than he fires them.

Steve had nothing to do with the show's producers after X Factor.
Steve refused to do another album of covers which probably would've got released at Xmas and it would've benefit him.

6:50 - I have to strongly disagree with U Steve regarding Leon Jackson.
Leon flopped because he was VERY forgettable and didn't have enough charm, personality or charisma to keep the public interested in him, he was only current to the Michael Buble market but he couldn't match Buble's talent.
And Leon allowing the media to exploit his Rangers F.C Football colours alienated the fans from the opposing side if you know what I mean.
It wouldn't have mattered how much Leon "grafted", he just wasn't marketable.

Sharon was right to call Simon out on national tv and I really think thats one reason we see a much more loving and caring Simon today on TV....Good Job Sharon!..........
