Flyboy 31 the 3H4 is powerful considering the age. The payload and fuel played a big factor but add in the high outside temperature (poor air density) and that created a long takeoff roll. If it would’ve been cold it probably would have been a about 1500-2000 feet shorter IMO.

Wouldn't the long roll also be due to old aircraft engines and a full load of cargo and people?
