I love Lair of Darkness but god does it feel bad to pray to have Lilith in the starting hand every game but when this deck gets set up, you can feel the despair in your oponent.
A recommendation would be to put arianae cause she can Special summon lilith from the deck and since you have loris u bring that trap if its useful in that duel and others back also magical mallet to shuffle back a bad hand and potentially get lilith
The virus cards target cards in hand on activation and then every card you draw during draw phase. If it's added outside draw phase, it won't get destroyed
@@ZeromusNightmare122 not necessarily during your draw phase. cards that you get in you hand by using pot of desires and any other card says "draw" are vulnerable to the virus even if it isn't the draw phase because as the card says you draw them. pot of prosperity and any other searcher "adds" a card to your hand, it doesn't draw it so even if it is a spell/trap it wouldn't be destroyed
Thanks for this. I’ve been interested in a Lair of Darkness deck for sometime now plus the remaining Lament sisters are finally here Once I finally finish the Branded deck I’m working on right now, this will be my next goal

Any suggestions, including cards released since the upload of this video, due to today's changes (8th May of 2023) in Master Duel? For facts like that Pot of Duality limited at 2, Skill Drain at 1 and Super Polymerization freed at 3. I don't know. Something like to have a synergy with Link Spider maybe...? 🤔
Labrynth is much more consistent imo and puts up more wins. Problem with Lair is that the entire deck revolves around the field spell to be able to make any real impact. Traps can only stall for so long before the opponent gets a window of opportunity to take you down
I really wish this deck was better. Backrow control decks seem to be really meh right now. Even Labyrinth being a pretty decent one just isn’t crazy good either. I never thought I’d say this but i miss the golden lord days.
@@Carnidoom at least there's more going on there and different core points to easily stop what's going on vs, set 3 floodgates, a negate, and some extra shit pass

But since i play control decks too (granted, with a lot less floodgates) I actually enjoy having the back and forth interaction. Having literally everything i do get negated or just getting straight up locked out of playing the game (Ido, Ra’s disciple) is the most boring shit ever.
If you wanna make a Lair of Darkness deck don’t put Malice Lady of Lament in it as shown in this video. That card is really bad. There are plenty of builds on building Lair the one I use includes Ties of the Brethren which is good for summoning our lv 3 fiends. Overall the deck is not too competitively viable but it is fun.

This is one of the scariest decks to me, even though it does not set up a full board of negates.... But the tribute fodders, are the best disruption.
Remove brainwashing
The best part is the tribute is a cost. Your oponent summoned their boss monster? Tribute it and they can't stop their monster going in the gy.

I wish they replace Diabolos's activate skill to If this card faces up on the field, you can tribute any type of card and ignore the cost condition.

The tribute is cost, skill doesn’t effect that. So removing 1 monster from the field free of worry is always good.
