You can never tell at Bluebell. I had 3 days a week for three weeks, and blanked on every session. I left it for a week, then took another run at the place, I had one on in under an hour, and the photography was terrible, because i hadn't had time to set up the camera. A week later, and a full lake, every angler had three rods, and over six days, not a single fish. But, i love it. To the point that i very rarely fish elsewhere.
Surprised you didn't get a big eel using worms, lots of big snakes in there with the river so close...and there's lots of perch too! Much respect for telling it as it is. And yes Gary is a cracking angler. I hate to "bother" others in a lake but hats off to him he helps others take care of their fish if they do catch and they are nearby. You are so right if only there were more like him on our lakes it would make for a more enjoyable trip all round. It is certainly one of the nicest places to blank....providing it doesn't happen too often!! Lol
Hi Frank, I had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to you many years ago at Chilham when my brother Chris owned MKF. Just a couple of things, when you were talking about lead weights I'm glad you mentioned using really light leads as I use 1oz leads for most of my fishing and get really good takes, the other thing is Vertigo, I've had it on three occasions, touch wood I've not had it for a couple years, the first time it really frightened the shit out of me, bloody horrendous, I don't know if you know there's a cure for it you can do when it happens, called the Epley Manoeuvre, it sorts it right out. Tight lines
I never had the vaccine so many people I know are suffering issues I told them about this experiment 🤔 hope your ok frank vertigo is awful don't get any more jabs
I did not need to hear that size 4 hook through the testicle story. Especially then watching frank skewering a worm on a baiting needle straight after! 😳
@ryancherry5300 I have okuma trio rex 7000 mate they are a bit heavy but they are so much better than new shimano reels had the 5500 ultegra xtd they were done for after 6 months not worth 150 quid for the trex and they are so much smoother and stronger and were well cheap compared to shimano I think thw new prologic look a lot like okumas
Don’t understand why you are having to wait for hours for a swim. Surely if you have to buy a ticket from the reception before doing anything else then surely the reception know how many swims if any are available and what time they would be vacated, did they make you aware or this. Not really fair having to pay for ticket with no available swims?? Cheers
Not really I’ve been carp since the 80’s on big pits with few or no other anglers, proper carp fishing well before it became the farcical instant gratification full of overstocked waters full of clueless pot noodles ( instant carp anglers)desperate to put their mugs on facebook or instagram with some unfortunate fish. I guess you must be one of new to angling pot noodle’s because I was asking a simple and fair question. Back in the day we never needed to bucket or book swims!!!…..Why would and be desperate to need to wait days on a carp brothel?..As they say “ Ignorance is bliss” and I am assuming you don’t know any better or different.
@@steveow40 bluebell lakes isn’t what people make out to be, way over priced! The bailiffs are rude as hell! No respect. And people who go there, most of em don’t even know what there doing. Been there only couples times
Yep shame Frank has to film at venues like this, mainly the reason I rarely carp fish these days, really hard now to find low stocked waters with few anglers.
@@steveow40 strange reply Steve, you have been fishing since the 80s proper hardcore big pit man but have no clue about modern day angling on day tickets, have you been living in a time capsul for 4 decades or just an armchair angler?
Frank, I’m surprised you got a 3rd jab. Follow you for years & seems out of character for you to go with the flow, unless it was to be able to travel they require a 3rd?
If Frank can’t catch one, us mere mortals would not have a chance! Lovely video, always something to learn ( or be reminded of) by the master.
Been carp fishing since 79 so yup I can .
what a pleasure to listen and watch this master
Keep the stories coming Frank. Fantastic
Lovely edited piece and a great bit of info from the main man Frank!

Could I ask what the alarms are your using?
3 hook bait with 200kg of bait it's hard fishing but the rewards are great at bluebell
