thanks for the ride! amazing you or somebody brought it to Japan! I have a friend in France so I shall share this with him...again, thanks for the video !!
Thanks. I'm french and imported it myself this summer for a friend here in Japan :) You can read the full review of the car here. oppositelock.kinja.com/1963-panhard-pl17b-relmax-the-oppo-review-1725595392
+traxnada I checked the review :)so are you living in Japan or back home in France? I have a nephew who has been in Japan a long time...teaching English and I guess he is still doing that...Again, thanks for the fun videos...chuck
Hello Pull the gear lever straight toward you, then when it can't go any further, pull it 45 degrees down, still toward you... It might take you a few tries at first but I've you've understood it's easy.
I have followed the 3-11 tsunami and earthquake in northern Japan...it is online at fnn 311 and of course others have videos...I assume you were not in the north...A terrible disaster. Chuck
I had a ’60 PL17 with running engine, fresh transaxle overhauled by Franco-American Motors, drivable, and offered it for FREE to any Panhardiste who would come and get it. No response! Even the Lane Motor Museum, which was restoring a couple of Panhards, wouldn't take it even if I hauled it to them! I thought that the engine and transaxle would have been worth the trouble. Lots of good parts. Two extra engines. Three extra used transaxles. It ended up being scrapped.
You brought back some memory's to me. My dad used to own one and it was noisy but it was very comfortabel
A wonderful car. I love column changes. Some spirit lived on in the GS.
Excellent! Sorry, that I missed this back in 2015.
It is great to see this video again!

I'm living full time in Japan, but start importing cars mostly for fun right now, but certainly as a full time business in the near future :)
This car must be incredible to drive in japan, the speed limits and the roads just really suit it.
It's definitely unique for sure :)
It gets quite a few look haha. A DS21 I brought back too is more popular among people though.
Une superbe voiture !
Can you tell me please how to change gear to reverse?

It has an air-cooled engine?
Yes. Two opposed cylinders engine. As the Citroen 2 CV had.
Beautiful!
