there is no combat sport where you win just because you weigh more. I saw a YT video just the other day where a normal-sized MMA fighter took on a wrestler in a UFC fight. The guy was 6'5 and 600lbs. He literally just absorbed a flying kick from the MMA fighter who then fell down under the big guy. Took several minutes to work out from under him. He then immediately got on top and threw clenched fists until the big guy tapped out. Fight over.
Butterbean, Andre the Giant...a lot of big famous fighters, they don't win just based on their weight, they all need something called skill to win. A combined advantage.

He was 40 or 40+ when he fought his friend last year, with one of his fists unavailable, against another rock hard, younger, legend who’s as fierce and talented as him….if you ask me, I’m sure he held back, it’s very subtle, but I’m sure he did, they both did to a point, now take that away, no injuries, both on their peak, SENCHAI maybe wouldn’t have knocked him out, and when I say maybe I mean a very slim in the low tens percentile maybe, but in my opinion Senchai it’s a freak of nature of a fighter, a once every century athlete in a specific division or specialized sport. Whoever spends ANY time training or even training in his vicinity has a chance no other mortal will ever have, or at least til another fighter of his caliber comes along and last enough to retire and teach. Which when you look at all those variables you realize how precious and privileged we are to have witnessed this giant in action throughout his unique career. He truly is the GREATEST.

This warrior is the result of talent, hard work, passion, dedication, and destiny all coming together. Also, incomprehensible how good of shape he is in still after fighting and being at the top of his game for so long. Truly a legend and an inspiration for generations to come.

I totally agree with this. I've seen footage of boxers very easily and effectively take control of a situation taking out multiple opponents. Boxing and it's footwork just works, it's that simple. There's nothing fancy about it.

Saenchai was one of the reason I watched Muay Thai i never knew that the art could be that tactical and slippery.
Edit: "Sadly for the opposition in the squared circle, he was still deadlier than Truck-kun." LMAO. That's a sub for you my cultured sir.

I like the way he doesn't chase after his opponents when the hit the ground. He just knows that no human can get up from one of his blows.

Saenchai is so unassuming. He's 5'4" and unlike some fighters he is not extremely muscular. A few have made the mistake of saying he is pudgy! His skill and ability to foresee what his opponent is going to do, and his execution is second to none. Even his KOs or TKOs have to watched several times in slow motion because it looks as if he didn't hit his opponent or it wasn't "that hard!"
As far as his match with Buakaw goes, a broken finger, 30 pounds, and 5" against the only fighter in the world that knows your style, weaknesses & strengths were just too much.
I also believe Saenchia's heart wasn't in it 100%. Not taking ANYTHING away from Buakaw, he is my 2nd favorite Thai fighter! Both are amazing and true ambassadors of their sport and country.

Where’s that fight where Saenchai jumps up and mounts the guy, prepares to drop an elbow on his head like an axe on a log, and then just gives him a little kiss instead? Fucking legendary. 😂
