Janelle, I just received my 3 ml spray samples of Vanille West Indies, & Escapade Gourmande!!! OMG!!!! I LOVE them both and I need both of them and they both smell wonderful!!! I think both of these are my new Holy grail perfume!!! I even picked up outremer Vanille and the Vanilla oil and it smells like Vanilla and Cotton candy for the days I just want to smell pretty!!!! Oh, yes! Please have a Genre week! So far, my favorite Vanilla is the oldie staple, Warm Vanilla Sugar. I would love to get my nose on Dulce Diablo and/or U Pick.

Dua is actually having a sale right now, I’m pretty sure! 💖 also my favorite vanilla as of now is 1000% escapade gourmand (I think we have very similar taste bcuz I HAD to get a full bottle for that one) but I would love to try Andromeda’s Moon’ version of tihota, bcuz I love tihota but as you said that price is WILD. As for my personal favorite, I am absolutely head over heels for Escapade Gourmande! It is so perfect. I want to try a larger SPRAY decant of both Tihota and Vaniglia (as the tiny dab on samples from Lucky Scent just don’t give me the experience and the breadth of nose knowledge to properly make a choice).

It's such a yummy Gourmand.Totally agree with you on the micro dabbers. I'm team No Dabbers❌...you can't evaluate or enjoy all the beautiful notes. I got some atomizers off of Amazon and dump them in there, even though it's a small amount, at least I get to spritz away.🤗

Oh, and a lovely lady in our fragcomm is Erin DeConta. She is a gourmand goddess, as is another lovely lady, Mara (in the FB and TikTok fragcomm)- thanks to her, I’ve discovered fragrances I’d not have thought about, and she’s also opened my eyes to the site, Scent Split (and a few others which sell niche spray samples). I’ve not yet ordered on Scent Split, but I think the inventory and options are fantastic for those who are starting or evolving in our fragrance journeys. 🌹

I discovered Escapade Gourmande months before it became popular, And fell in love. I immediately bought a bottle and there weren't any videos on RUclips with Escapade Gourmande, then it blew up months after i bought it. That is my favorite linear vanilla

I think my favorite vanilla fragrances are Tobacco Vanille (but it's spicy and festive so I save it for fall and winter) and Tihota as my favorite straight up vanilla. I also own (what is now probably vintage) a Victoria's Secret Vanilla Lace EDT from the early 2000s and it is so boozy and delicious, it almost rivals Tihota! It's really a shame that such a great, affordable fragrance was discontinued.

Mmmm love this list! Montale Vanille Absolue is not smokey to me at all. It’s a layering staple and a deep, sweet compliment magnet. I love it for lasting too! ❤

Oh I almost forgot to mention that I have been loving Sweet Tooth per your rec! I had to say it again bc it smells so good! Would love another vanilla/coconut fragrance like this but on steroids or with a bit more spice to it 😉
It's such a great layerable Fragrance! I think Lattafa Nebras had that little bit of added spice with a coconut ice cream type of dry down. 👏💗

I would say vanille West Indies (yes, you influenced that purchase lol) and choco musk are tied for my top vanillas (hard to beat the choco musk oil price point!). Escapade gourmand and accident a la vanille are ones I am now convinced I need to get my nose on! I may need to try the genre version of escapade gourmand ❤

My absolute favorite is Tihota. Vanilla is my favorite note and Tihota is perfect for me. Im curious about Orchidee Vanille but I’ve seen it compared to House of Sillage Wonder Woman and I already have that.

My favorite is Kayali’s Vanilla and the one i would love to get my nose on is Vanilla Woods by 7 Virtues.

Honestly I don’t think I could narrow it down to one or two fave vanillas. I do know I love any perfume with a vanilla bourbon note. I really like Donna Born In Roma and Libre Intense. And let me tell you Bonfire Bash is my jam. As is Sweet Whiskey. Vanilla is just an exceptional note for me and I want to smell them all lmao. Thanks for your thoughts and have a great weekend. 😀

There are SO many on this list that I'd love to try! 😋 I find myself gravitating to 2 different main categories. 1) For fall, I love a sweet creamy gourmand vanilla, could also be spicy, but I don't want a ton of other notes taking over like orange or florals 2) Love coconut paired with vanilla for summer, could have some florals but I still want a sweet vanilla/coconut blend to be the dominant notes. So far, my fav is Kayali Vanilla 28 but I need to try so many more. So excited to hear your lists! If you have any suggestions for what you think I'd like, I would love to hear them 😊 It can get a bit overwhelming trying to look online 💕

I'm new to fragrance and have been blind buying like a mofo! LOL! These comparisons were really helpful for me so I'm not buying the same scent. But right now my fav vanilla/gourmand is Narcotica Dulce Diablo. Straight molten chocolate rum cake🥰

The scent of accident a la vanille is my favorite of my vanillas. Smells like melted butter with vanilla and sugar. Bought full bottle but WISH I could get it to last longer. I’ve tried vanilla shea butter, plain lotion, and Vanilla Musk oil (Menat?). Maybe I’m getting anosmic? 🤷🏻♀️
Where did you get decant for Ligne St Barth Vanilla? Oh wait, Lucky Scent (except I don’t like the dabbers 😞)
I can totally see you going anosmic to it, it wasn't too strong of a wear from what I can remember, but since it lasted longer than Chabaud Lait de Buiscit I was happy with it.🤗

SOTD Story from yesterday: I wore the Dapper version of Bodicea the Victorius Bodacious. I felt it was a miss. Just a cherry 🍒 parfum and odd smelling. Well. I get to the office and at least 2 ladies complimented me and 1 asked for the name! Surprise! Now I want to order the larger size :) jajajajaja! I also tried Tonka Imperial by Guerlain but it is something I would think goes better on a male. Lovely day to all! Oh, Bodacious is compared to Duchessa by Gritti. Janellita? Review, por favorcito. I haven't had the chance to compare the two just yet. My sample was the EDP version. I've heard the juniper is really pronounced in the EDT versus the EDP though and there's a masculine feel with the cardamom as well, but I couldn't confirm.

I could kick myself when I didn't ask a Trader Joe's employee what brand of vanilla oil she was wearing. It was loud and proud but it was the best vanilla I had ever smelled. And it wasn't even a fragrance! She used some vanilla essential oil one can buy at a local health food store and used a dab or two. This scent projected at least six feet from her but it was so creamy and sweet. How can this be? Anyway, my other favorite is Gaultier 2 but I have the DUA version ( Error 405 ) since the OG has been discontinued.

Maybe you are referring to Vanilla Musk roll on oil perfume from Nemat International Fragrances. A beautiful cheapie that a lot of people compare to Tihota. It is amazing!

Between a rock and a hard place there.😬 Lol.... For a more cake like Vanilla, I think Escapade Gourmande fits that description. Accident a la Vanille is more of a coconut vanilla macaroon cookie. Both amazing Vanillas!!! 🤗💕
Oh and in case you haven't checked out the Poesie Indie Perfume reviews, Versailles is the most realistic cake scent I've come across so far! Just wonderful! 🤗

It is very thick, no it's not a safe spray on clothes. I usually dab it on my shoulders and the scent just lingers everywhere. 🥰
