Level 27: Dawning of a new fate
This is the cut scene related to the alternative ending of the game, that has a logical connection with the rest of the story, also known as the water sword ending.
Though I'm fan of the prince, a mythical villain as the Dahaka shouldn't be finished by the developers like this. However, I personally don't believe in the Dahaka certain death.
"Something harmful isn't necessary deadlier" which is the case of the Dahaka with the water. We all saw how the beast were able to emerge from the sacred caves lake even bigger and powerful, yet he probably forced to retreat due to the huge amounts of water surrounding him (Do you remember the way the Dahaka left us after removing Kaileena from the timeline? Well it's pretty much the same here). So it's obviously that many conditions were against the guardian battle favor, he could not even keep his form or power stable. (that was like the rampage mode ultimate version)
Just imagine if the Dahaka had lost control before the prince delivered for him that critical shot; the entire area wouldn't stand a chance in front of his side effects on reality and existence themselves, the water sword will become useless as well.
Who else find Kaileena more sexy with her hair covering half her face? (like in 00:05 and 01:19)
Another question troubling my mind: with the island of time's throne empty, what will happen to those sand warriors who used to serve the empress? Will they become a self - thinking creatures or the chaos between them will storm the place?
The prince may escaped the death at the hands of the Dahaka and earned a supernatural wife for himself, but on the other hand; he brought war and destruction to his homeland; which reminds us of the old man words: "YOUR JOURNEY WILL NOT END WELL. YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR FATE. NO MAN CAN!"

Honorable mention for the Dahaka:
There isn't one single sand monster in the entire series that can defeat the guardian of the timeline for two reasons: 1) the only element harmful enough to affect the Dahaka is water, which is something dangerous for the majority of them, 2) even with the possession of the dagger of time the prince wouldn't survive, this time artifact may kill Boss sand monsters with a precisely deadlier strikes, but it's nothing more than a removable object just like the amulet. (the only weapon known to contains water as an energy source is the water sword)
