    You are gonna have some really nice refreshing summer time refreshments.
    I just finished a peach brandy myself, that turned out surprisingly well.

    Randy do you think that this ended up around 30 to 40 proof? It look delicious, we use it in tea for a great cocktail. Also, what size jars were those

    I have watched most of your recent videos and I have to ask if you are using a neutral sugar shine or is this a corn based shine? I'd like to try this but want to make sure I have the right shine on hand.

    It's been a tough year for peaches around here. I may have to save this recipe for next year.
    I sure would like to find one of those big bottle funnels though. That would be darned handy.

    I have a question.
    Your recipe calls for 1 qt of shine....
    Do you make your own or do you buy a certain kind?

    Very new to all this. Do you leave the peaches in each container permanently? Or just until its ready, and then just transfer the liquor?

    Have you ever figured out the shelf life of infused flavorings such as this? At room temperature vs refrigerated? I am curious to shelf life of infused shine as sometimes it does not get drank immediately. Might be something to discuss in a video sometime.

    I recently tried my hand at a peach. Used fresh peaches but did not have pectic enzymes. started at 1.065 and finished at .99 had to let it sit a week due to work but when I ran it wouldnt clear up and it had almost no alcahol .not even the worked off mash tasted like it had any.. not sure what I did, is pectic enzyme needed??

    • @stillworksandbrewing
      @stillworksandbrewing  3 месяца назад

      pectic enzyme helps brake down the fruit you started at 1.065 and ended at .999 1.065 - .999 = .066 .066x 131.25 +8.66 so your mash should have 8.6 ABV

      Use citrus acid or lemon juice but a little bit at a time a little goes a long way
