I think the Yu-Gi-Oh! kits need the "ATK" and "DEF" screens as their accessory which might be attached to an Action Base to replicate the duels in the anime.
Oh , and should definitely have a unique stand that has the card at it's base to replicate the summoning like in the anime when the monsters hover above the projection of the card
Weird thing about yugioh is that a lot of cards just...don't really have lore. Like, there's a ritual card that summons this guy, and there's a fusion where he rides on a dragon, and there's a few cards that represent like, alternate powered up forms, but he doesn't actually have a backstory. He's just a cool knight guy that shows up on some cards sometimes.
Yeah it's more lore related to the anime itself and Yugi than the card game, he's important cuz he's one of Atem's favorite monsters and it's epic every time he summons him, but besides that there's not much, sadly.
@@laxiden1595 Sort of? The original Manga version of Black Luster Ritual required Gaia as the recipient of the spell's effect separate from the tributes, but the anime seems to have dropped this element
That's not exactly true anymore. For the old cards yeah but for the past couple of years they've been putting out some very lore heavy cards like Sky Strikers which has it's own manga series I believe and Fallen of Albaz which I personally am not a fan of the archtype or characters but it's HUGE on the lore side of things. I think right now they're ramping up some new lore about some witch lady that does... things I guess and some dude that has a coffin or something.
I think I saw that teased, they already have blue eyes, shame the only real figure of dark magician is an old revoltech that's extremely pricy, I wouldn't mind a kit like this of him, tho I'd kinda prefer it to be a straight up figuarts than a rise kit.
i don't even know how they'd do it cause the whole gimmick of these is to amplify their designs so considering what they did to blue eyes, red eyes would be a straight up needleball
Definitely impressed with the colors of this kit. Hope that Bandai starts to use these methods for the special coating or metallic coating kits and also for new effect parts as well, carrying over the slightly iridescent look from the HG Macross kits we’ve gotten in the past year, just like Shin Burning. Even though it drives up the price of kits, it’s a nice luxury. I want planning on getting this at first, but I definitely want to get it now! Maybe put some Tamiya TS Pearl clear coat over it to boost the shiny effect 🤩
I was planning to paint the purple in Mr Crytal Color Amethyst, but man it looks sooooo good out of the box. If they're doing more Yu-Gi-Oh kits, I hope they do Summoned Skull at some point, he was my favorite card.
it's the perfect combatant kit for the blue eyes white dragon previously released in figure rise standard amplified, boasting the same stats as the powerful dragon with 3000 atk and 2500 def.
@@myhonestopinion3334 Ah, gotta love how name translations in early YGO have caused so many issues when those names ended up becoming Archetypes. I see you, Summoned Skull.

Very cool model kit of one of my favorite monster cards from yugioh, only question i have though is um would the gold pieces become prone to turning brittle or deterioration just like how old transformers were known to do with their gold plastic
Prooobably not? Pretty sure that was a Hasbro/Takara problem specifically, and my understanding is they've seemingly fixed that anyway with modern toys (though other companies/IPs have had similar issues with different colors, depending; for example, for a year or two late in G1 Bionicle's run lime-green plastic was *notoriously* brittle right off the shelf, but iirc gold and most other colors were... more or less fine. Except the very last wave... so many cracked and broken sockets... b-but I digress). Granted I've only been into gunpla/plamo for a year and change and I'm only one person, but most issues I hear about seem to be stability or durability issues in specific kits rather than certain colors. That said, always keep an ear out.
I've been a fan of the series as long as I've loved Gundam. I'm so glad both companies collaborated to give us such an amazing kit. I hope we'll see Dark Magician in the future to battle his rival, Blue-Eyes, and possibly other fantasy Duel Monsters monsters designed by Takahashi-sensei like Dark Paladin and Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
honestly, there are just SO so many monsters in the game that would be awesome as a figure/model kit it's just too bad the only ones who ever get such treatment are the absolutely most popular ones i'd love to see the maju's made into figures some day
I hope he pulls this back out when the 30MF kits release, to compare. It would be fun to see the fantasy aspects of those with the syper high fantasy details ofnthis super ornate armor on this kit.
Always loved this cards design. Fun to see such a well made figure of it. I know Black Magician is the go too but I think he whould be pretty hard becuse of his robe that gose from hip to his ankels. It has to be either split on the sides to get cool poses but then he has to look like he is levitating. But who knows. There is one other sword user that whould be cool. Buster Blader. Massiv guy, a dragon slayer.
@@kira516 Doesn't make any sense. Why changing some of the name and keep the others original? Is the word chaos some sort of forbidden word? If so why they didn't change the Chaos gundam name in western release?
