Camping July 2011 Lac Philippe Gatineau Park Quebec

Had a great time camping with Betty and Dave in the lead up to our 2nd anniversary. GREAT weather Thursday, Friday, Saturday and damn near all of Sunday.
Charlie loved the beach and was in the water everyday. Sunday we went out in the paddleboat.
The weather was so nice we cooked on the camp fire all weekend. We cooked pizza, bacon, corn, hamburgers, hot dogs (24), sausages, steak, pork souvlaki, pork tenderloin all on the campfire. Unbelievably wood is more expensive than propane in Quebec, but everything tastes better cooked over wood.
Sunday night was a crazy thunder storm, power and water were out at the campground (same night the stage fell at Bluesfest) . Monday morning was nicer but the tents were soaked for packing up (never fails). On the drive home we saw lots of trees that had blown over the night before.
All in all though, the best weather camping we've ever had. Camping is SO much easier when it's not raining the whole time, and so much more fun when you can actually enjoy the beach because it's hot and sunny.
