There is also an Ultimate setting where you can adjust it from 1-9. For those saying they are a waste of money & comparing them to tunes, you need to do research. I have a tune & an Ultimate 9. If I'm about to go through soft sand or boggy mud I use an Ultimate setting for a more responsive acceleration. But if I'm going up a bouncy rocky hill, I'll put it in eco mode so it's less responsive.
It boggles my mind as to why manufacturers don't fully incorporate progressive shifting and slower throttle response into their own eco modes the way aftermarket products do. As a professional driver, we are taught to use progressive shifting, lower rpms and a lighter foot on the accelerator to save fuel (in semi's with manual transmissions).
It changes the throttle response so drastically you’d for sure kill it until you get used to it. I don’t know how beneficial it would be for a manual though honestly
this just lost you all credibility....throttle controllers are such a waste of money and cause more problems than they solve.... should have just got an actual tune for the vehicle from 5 star tuning....
From my experience I disagree with that. I agree an actual tune would be better, but they serve too different purposes. A tune will actually change the performance of your vehicle. A throttle controller just controls throttle sensitivity. This helps in off road scenarios when you want a bit more control of throttle input. It also helps you apply less throttle, shifting sooner, saving gas. I would like to get a tune as well, but I would still run the ultimate9 because again, they serve two different purposes
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.... seriously man, "lost all credibility" come on. I have a heavy foot and wreck my gas mileage. This would help me "force" myself to go easier on the gas.
No way it can "save" gas. All that does is cahnge the linear electric effect of the pedal. IE it takes more or less pedal pressure. Lol why why you charge the throlle response with a phone when you can just press the pedal. It will always take the same amount of gas no matter how you move the wieght. Also you need to manually calculate the mileage. Ford spent millions to build that vehicle and now some small company thinks they have better engineers and resources than a multi billion dollar global company. Lol Thow a cold air intake in it and the annoying noise alone is worth at least 7.4hp I love your videos and your adventures are amazing. Keep up the awesome work but dont fall for this crap.
So I don’t disagree with you. It does not change the engine tune at all. What it does do is essentially force a change in your driving habits for better economy. It becomes a very deliberate act to accelerate quickly, therefore using less fuel. On the flip side, ultimate9 mode would absolutely suck through the gas haha. You breath on the throttle and the thing is full throttle.

I was on 4wd24-7,… in their fails….. we won’t walk about that. 🤣 I’ve been interested in that product as well. Good to hear your thoughts! 👍🏻❤️🇺🇸
No I think we should talk about that. I’m gonna need a link to that video lol
I'd love a comparison between this and the ECO goat mode in terms of mileage.
Wow I thought Nissan Xterra‘s got bad gas, mileage glad that you were able to get back up to 17-18 mpg thank you for sharing 😊
I have this on my rig and it serves its purpose. I only use it off-road and when I’m towing a trailer. It works as it’s designed.
EVCX is amazing, we have them in most of our vehicles. 👍
I miss those MPG’s! My supercharged FJ Cruiser gets 12 smiles per gallon and sadly is tuned to the pricy 93 octane 🤷🏻♂️💪🏻

Your video is so great!! Very enjoying to watch it!! Could you shoot a video for our brand?
Ulitimate 9 mode would have a Raptor pull wheelies?
Might feel like it haha
I wonder how well it would work in my manual... 🤔

Great review. Thank you for posting. Does it smooth the 1-3 gears?
Yea it did! Well in certain modes at least haha. Ultimate9 is freakin insane. But eco modes it keeps the rpms down so the shifts feel less jarring
@@OFFTHEGRIND Great, thank you so much for the reply!
@NorthwestBronco of course my man!
❤ nice
