I’m blown away at the crackle frame! I picked up several frames a while back that look just like this from goodwill and I definitely plan to use this technique on them now! Different from the normal chalk paint and distressing, which I love too! Thank you for teaching me something new today! This is why I adore your page!! Your so amazing at what you do! That heat gun is super cool, mine is from harbor freight but I confiscated it from the old man...I’m gonna look into this one for sure! 🥰🐇🐰🖤
My favorite is the paint crackle technique and the Chocolate Bunnies. I painted them last year for one of my very first DIY projects but I never thought of Chocolate. Love the video. I wish I had a neighbor like you. It would be so much fun!
Awesome projects! I love the wooden spoons and the crackled frame 😍💖 My mom has a heat gun. I'll have to ask her what kind of projects she's done with it and let you know. I'm really excited to see what you do with jewelry.
Thanks for the project ideas...they are so cute!! Those "chocolate " Easter Bunnies" turned out so realistic!! I've put that heat gun on my wish list at Amazon!! Love your channel! Tfs and have a great week! 💕🐰🥕🐦🌼🐇😊
You are the heat gun Queen! I love the crackle frame. The bunnies are awesome. I actually thought they were chocolate when I first saw the picture. As always your videos are timely. I am considering a heat gun. I thought it would only be to dry paint faster. Now I know better. Thanks for another great video.
First I have to say how stinking adorable that framed bunny decor is Courtney. The colors are bright and beautiful and you can never go wrong with bunny butts! The “chocolate” looks so real!! Great idea using the pompoms from the headbands. The wooden spoons are fabulous (I always find that removing tape from any painted project is so rewarding.) and I MUST get one of those burn pens. I have a pretty old Wagner heat gun that I’ve had for years and am wondering if the pen will work with that. Making s’mores would be an added bonus for sure...lol. Love the idea of it being free-standing. Thanks so much for sharing (the specialty paper is now on my birthday wish list!) so many fun ideas and I’m looking forward to more DIYs. Have an amazing week! 🤗 #kindnessmatters
I love everything that you do. These all were awesome! I just ordered that Scorch Marker from Amazon. This is the first time I have ever seen this and I can't wait to try it. I also never saw the crackle technique done this way. Thank you so much for all you teach us...…..
The spoons were wicked cool!! I was like ohhhh they look chocolatey then you kept going and I was even MORE impressed!!! The heat gun does look fun and I’m sure it’s like a HUGE time saver but I wouldn’t purchase it just because you really don’t need it for the glue/crackle effect and you could just use a mini blow dryer to dry your paint I purchased one (not for crafts) not that long ago for $10 bucks came with a tiny bag, a regulator and a mini diffuser!!! You did an OUTSTANDING job on all of these projects you ALWAYS make the best things!!! I was a little bummed you didn’t use any fabric in this diy 😉😉😉 thanks for the inspiration and review 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Creative on the Cheap your very welcome!!! I cannot WAIT for Friday 😍😍 embossing would be beautiful and the jewelry would be very nice!!! I FINALLY found the diy birdhouse at DT and you KNOW I went out and got some fabric right 😉😉 I have it sitting out I keep staring at it pondering when I want to start it 🥴🥴 but thank you for the idea I searched high AND low for that birdhouse after seeing you do yours in fabric so I want mine to be PERFECT!!! See ya Friday 👋🏻
That’s amazing that just regular white glue will give you a crackled finish. Wow. Lol if you had known it would transfer like that you could have saved a step and just put the bunny 🐰 down on the spoon in the first place . Love the project TFS
I had to tell you, the chocolate bunnies frame came out Soooo amazing! Before you started, I thought to myself...Did she use real chocolate bunnies on this craft?!! That's how good you did!! It came out amazing!! Soooo cute! Great job on all the DIY's! Love watching your creations! Thanks again! Have a great night! ❤️❤️ Tracy ( :
@@CreativeontheCheap Hahahahaha! I was sure you did!! Lol! They came out perfect! I was thinking, how is she going to store this?!! I loved it soooo much, though, so would've wanted to use every year! Lol! ( : Great job! ( :
I love all of these!!! That picture was adorable and the spoons are perfect to add some spring to your kitchen. And who doesn’t love a beautiful candle. Bravo!!!
Don’t you just love the heat gun?!! I’ve had mine for at least 10 years, embossing is so much fun! I think you may enjoy the embossing glitter or ink inks on different pictures you like, it really adds a lot of fun dimension! Loved all your craft ideas, thank you for sharing! You’re the first one I’ve seen crackle a frame !! Theirs heating guns are so addicting, and all the goodies that can be used, praying and hoping DT will start carrying more embossing products!
Let me know down below which was your favorite project? Also, do you have a heat gun? This is the one I was working with in the tutorial! amzn.to/39gvWsx
So happy you have discovered a heat gun! YEARRRRS ago I did candles using stamped and colored images on vellum. Napkins can also be used (1 ply) for a cheaper alternative!
Courtney girl you never disappoint 💖Love the DIYS You mentioned yarn needles I went to check online and there are so many I don’t know which ones to get! Please help I want to thread pompoms like you did on the bunny frame. Thanks in advance for your response . Stay in ✌🏼 peace
These all turned out so cute Courtney, but what blew my mind was the scorch marker! I've not heard of that before and it was so cool seeing how it worked with the heat gun. Which by the way is a really nice heat gun! I'm not in the market for one, but I just may have to get this one. lol Hugs, Brenda
The candle was my favorite! I’ve been watching another channel, Dainty gifts or Dainty Crafts i cants remember now sorry. She had a tutorial and since then I’ve been pressed to make these! You’re a came out so elegant! She mentioned the method you used! Thanks Court! 🥴
Thanks for showing how to crackle the frame. Thanks for all the tips. Knife heating for cutting. The bunny look like chocolate. You make me want to eat them. The spoons could have been carrots, but they are so springy and Easterly. What is the highest temperature; the heat gun will go?
the candle is my favourite! I have a heat gun and I love it. It does speed up the drying time. I have a stampin up one. I use it alot for heat embossing. Okay, i have to know...where did you get your necklace??
I just love everything you have done so far and the tools and equipment everything you talk about has helped me learn so much more about crafting! I am wondering what is the song you use in the opening?
The little bunnies really do look like chocolate!! What I would give for a solid dark chocolate bunny right now... I love learning how easy it was to crackle the paint. Does it have to be dried with a heat gun (would hair dryer work?) or will the paint crackle if it simply air dries?
I honestly thought those were real chocolate bunnies at first LOL I thought umm..no she couldn't have. Great job on these! Really want to try the candle project. Love it!
Those spoons would look so cute in the kitchen. I’d be afraid that one of my kiddos would try and take a bite of one of those bunnies. All 3 were super cute.
Love the frame! Had no idea about using glue....I use crackle medium, but glue is much cheaper!! Did u diy your farmhouse beads? I love how distressed they look. All projects turned out great!tfs ❤️
The spoons were my fave! They will make a great hostess gift for an annual Easter crawfish boil we go to! I use my heat gun all the time (but I love the one you have with the kickstand that lets you go hands-free!). If you ever want to add metallic bling try the ColorFuze Enamels from createalong.com - you use a clear embossing ink where you want the metal effect and then dust on the ColorFuze enamel, hit it with your heat gun and in seconds you can have "metal" borders, accents, etc. The enamels come in lots of colors too. Here's a link (not affiliate - I just love their stuff): createalong.com/search?q=colorfuze&type=product
Is there a trick to keep the Scorch Marker from bleeding past where you have drawn? I just tried a bunny on a wooden spoon but the marker bled into the wood and I ended up with a blob
Did you start on low heat and start with a light outline with a rich marker and then fill in darker in the inside of outline? I didn’t have an issue, the only other thing I did was trace over my pencil with the scorch marker, so not sure if the lead helped with the bleeding. You definitely don’t want to hold the marker too long in one place as that will cause the image to bleed.
@@CreativeontheCheap I didn't do the outline first and then fill in - I just did the whole bunny. I did start with low heat and kept the spoon moving. I'll try again on different wooden spoons. These were cheap dollar store spoons but I also bought some nicer bamboo ones. Fingers crossed.
The heat guns being used for crafts these days, are much like an implement we referred to as 'painter stripers' back in the day, redid our kitchen cabinets using one.
