I’m from nyc, I been around thru both skip and Sebastian… skip was popular because and 1 mixtape, but he wasn’t Sebastian I’m not talking about skill wise, I’m talking about impact, culture and popularity… Sebastian was a superstar in nyc at 14yrs old, I never seen shit like that before at that time, he was signing autographs on the train going to school in 9th grade lol, he was on slam magazine, he was on sports illustrated magazine, he had jay z, Derek jeter and nyc politicians coming to watch him play in a high school gym… and 1 was like a street version of Harlem globetrotters without the script… Sebastian had lebron in Brooklyn playing in street tournaments and he had Melo out there, even tho melo from Brooklyn he was living in Baltimore at the time… he had cameras following him since he was 13 yrs old that’s how he made the documentary “through the fire” you had to be in nyc to understand this dudes popularity it was like the was the lil bow wow of basketball lol because he was so young but basically famous and still living in the projects in Coney Island, people know skip all around before the nba because and 1 mixtape dvd, same way with hot sauce and AO.. I played basketball during this time for Gauchos. You don't know how good you are until you leave your neighborhood. I grew up in Edenwald Projects where I was considered an above average player for my age until I made Gauchos. It's a humbling experience. I actually played on the same Small Fry team as Cam. I still have my plaque. I used to be at Young Life games at Salem Church on the Corner of 126, 127th and Adam Clayton Powell. I remember the kid Marquise they are talking about. I remember Mase too, I'm from the Bronx so at that time Harlem was downtown to me. What a great time to be alive.

Great Interview Killa‼️ Two legendary point guards outta NYC to set the record straight. Mark Jackson has always been a class act, great player in his day and even better person off the court. Rafer Alston aka "Skip to my Lou" was literally a breath of fresh in the late '90s!! Growing up in the south you always heard about the guards outta New York and to finally see that action live on tape was incredible @that time. Respect was paid to alot of great players in this episode!! Booger Smith and Charles Jones reference (Soul in the Hole) was definitely some great ball players and it was good to hear those names again man!! Much Luv and Respect 🤞🏿💪🏿🙏🏿💯💞🔥🔥🔥
