Hi Jonathan. Firstly, I really enjoy your content, but secondly, you forgot to put the affiliate link in the description, it just says "Get yours: LINK HERE". Feel free to delete this comment once you have resolved that. 👍
The Motorola type speaker / mic connector is necessary for the waterproofing aspect, it DOES match up I’ve found with Motorola accessories. Some Baofeng and other Retevis radios also have this for same reasons The Retevis programming software I find terrible compared to the Chirp that we all know and love, it’s just a shame Chirp can’t keep up with all models, I believe this is just through lack of assistance from manufacturers Yes, adaptors are easily available on eBay for the accessories plug too Nice video 👌
Hi friend, thanks for your comment, regarding the programming software we want to say RETEVIS is always tried to make all model to available on Chirp, however, this is a hard work because the Chirp team is a non-profit group, and they dedicate their spare time to helping radio manufacturers integrate with Chirp. This means that it often takes a long time for new products to become available on Chirp after their release. That’s why, in addition to Chirp, RETEVIS has been continuously optimizing our own programming software to meet the needs of our users. But to be honest, this is not an easy task either, as there are so many different types of computer systems, and resolving compatibility issues requires a significant investment of time. This is quite unfortunate for the current radio manufacturers, as we don’t have the same level of funding as smartphone manufacturers to dedicate 100% effort to this area. Nevertheless, we are still doing our best. 😂
@ understood, it’s just a shame then about the difference between the programming systems. You should know I’m a great fan of Retevis radios, I have quite a few being used, from RB24, RB29, NR30D, RB91…… and I find them well made and very robust. Yes, the only issue I have is the ease of programming. Keep up the good work

It will scan a range of frequencies, is that what you mean?
