EVE-NG - How to add Windows Server 2022 the easy way.

In this easy-to-follow step-by-step guide, I will share how to install or add a Windows Server 2022 image into EVE-NG. This guide assumes that you have already downloaded the image from Microsoft.
Commands used in this video:
mkdir /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/winserver-2022-EVAL/
cd /opt/unetlab/addons/qemu/winserver-2022-EVAL/
/opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img create -f qcow2 virtioa.qcow2 60G
mv Windows_Server_2022_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us.iso cdrom.iso
cd /opt/unetlab/tmp/(POD ID)/(LAB ID)/(NODE ID)/
/opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img commit virtioa.qcow2
/opt/unetlab/wrappers/unl_wrapper -a fixpermissions

Is this the Community version..? I never seen the Network Icons, specifically the Globe. Was that custom?
Also were you using the Ubuntu Version of VMware?

Thanks. commit allows you to save the current state as the default starting point. Any apps you install will be there when you add a Windows server node to a new node. Kind of "copy start run" in Cisco terms if you are familiar with Cisco.

Hello, I have a problem when executing the last step (/opt/qemu/bin/qemu-img commit virtioa.qcow2) it loads to a certain point and stops. I left it running for several hours but it won't work, what could it be?

Everything worked, but for some reason, after I start my WinServer2022, it boots up, shows the windows logo, but then I get a perma black screen. Any thoughts about it?

You can use Windows Server for 180 days without needing to purchase and active a license. With Windows 10 Enterprise Eval you get only 90 days. Use what are comfortable with.
