hey I just wanted to tell you as a american main that up to tier 2 everything and I mean everything loses in dogfights and are made of paper (everything gets blown apart with even one 7,92 bullet)
There is no way you just said to avoid the p400, it is one of the few early US planes to feature a cannon and is very strong against bombers and enemy fighters because of it
The p400 does have cannon but that's it. In air RB it's so bad (heavy, slow, no climb or nose authority) in terms of maneuverability that it's damn near unusable
the p400 is my favorite rank 2 aircraft in the game and I LOVE it due to its extremly good cannon and also because of its amazing look, its basically a rank 2 P63, the P63 is my favorite prop aircraft out of every prop aircrafts that exist and I have a LOT of hours in it in multiple nations
hey there tankenstien i loved the video. I have a suggestion though, when listing planes that you should avoid and you reccomend, you could put up a small tech tree and highlight them so people know which planes ur talking about. I think this would improve the quality because as you said its for new players and they wont really know what ur talking about so i think that could help with the comprehension. Great video
actually this is one of the best videos of its kind. I like how you mention Ground and Air battle usage. in 25 Minutes this video gives a really decent overview
Don’t sleep on the p38’s of course you need to mind that it’s an interceptor so you’re mostly going to be bomber hunting or zoom and booming but it’s still a dominate aircraft in its respective tiers
Boom and zoom is both the best and worst playstyle imo. It’s the best because of how hard it is to fight when you’re a good pilot. But it’s also bad because it tends to take a bit of setup, like sideclimbing, and against 1v2+ it’s hard to get a gun run on one enemy without getting lit up by another
This was a very useful video even for an experienced player like me who focuses more on ground but is just getting into air rb. Would love to see a video like this for every nation, but I acknowledge these probably take quite a lot of time and effort to make.
bro, the p-400 is one of my favorite aircraft in the entire game, and it has a 20mm gun in the noze !!!! its basically a low rank p-63 which makes it extremly good and I LOVE it !
Almost done with the British air tree and halfway down the ground tree. I don’t for morning on the US air tree, but I have 8.0 ground (not including premium and the AIM). So, this was generally very helpful and I really enjoyed the video presentation. 👍
Great video German tech tree would be awesome, also are you able to do a key binding guide for the higher airplane I been watching heeps of video but still cannot get my head around the radar and how to change to suit the situation, I find I'm not locking on like others or once I do it too late.😢
A little too generalized for my tastes, but I understand why it's like that. No F4U-4B nor F8 Crusaders in recommended planes? The best TT Corsair that's literally king of 5.0-6.7 GRB CAS/CAP and the best 10.x jets in the US TT? That's a bummer. Feels very generic...
Of all the US Air Tech Tree Vehicles at least 15 i've have not played, just researched them and went to the next one in order to get to Rank VIII, with the future possible F-14A Late version of the Tomcat, wouldn't that be just the F-14A with the TCS under the nose and the TF-30 engines?
Going through US air right now for ARB. US air kinda sucks for props imo. They dont climb the best and they turn like bricks out of certain situations. Thats the prop meta, climb for 15 minutes into orbit or find a turn fight. Cant wait to get back to low tier jets
My favourites in this tech tree are the P-51s(except the D5 and D20), The F4U-4B both the tech tree version and the Xbox exclusive version, for premiums I like the XA-38 it's a 3.3 plane that can get you your early US jets as long as you just go for ground targets and bases, the BF109-F4 you seriously can't go wrong with that one,the Ki-61 for some low-tier arcade fun, the premium spitfire IX can be good for US mains that just feel like turnfighting everything they see. Keep in mind I'm predominantly an arcade player so take that with a grain of salt.
Once I hit tier 2 its like the higher br planes I would get, the worse the turn and climb rates would be. Like you would go up a whole battle rating for essentially a slower maneuvering plane with the same weaponry. Meanwhile a yak is doing loops around my hellcat and i instantly crumble to pieces in one burst. The ruski’s really made this game lol. To be far, the American planes are great in ground realistic.
thanks man, im new to war thunder and decided id main american tech tree across the board no matter what. ground has been a slog i wont lie, just getting into air this will help a ton
Tankenstein are you also making this kind of video but also with tanks or only aviation and i like this kind of video cant wait when you do this on all the nation
I’m loving the sort of “MilSim” side of the game. Does anybody have any personal or widespread maneuvers or knowledge that I could use? Perhaps a good, realistic, devastating strategy?
Booming and zooming was the primary fighter doctrine for the us and created to counter Japanese dogfighters that could out turn American planes. You could also get a squad mate and try the thatch weave

F-20A Tigershark Review (Mentioned at end of guide): ruclips.net/video/uXbkjJ_blnw/видео.html
hey I just wanted to tell you as a american main that up to tier 2 everything and I mean everything loses in dogfights and are made of paper (everything gets blown apart with even one 7,92 bullet)
Yo also the F-89B is pretty good 7.0 br %110weP throttle and has really good match making.
And 6 20mm cannons
A guide like this for every nation would be very good
Agreed
But happy to see he started with Warthunders most important air tree.
Yeah me too, but I don’t think he has as much experience in every tech tree
Oxy does a good job though his videos take a long time to make
Really interesting to see Japanese CAS list :😢

Dude 26 minutes is insane to cover all the highlights and lowlights.. good job. I’d watch this for every nation

hey Tankenstein! saw you ingame a couple days ago in the F-15, had a lovely interaction w you in chat
If you are a Top Gun fan, go for the Navy fighter line. If you want a more proper line for both RB and SB? Go for F-5E, F-15 and F-111 line.
You know I went for the f-14 but I’m only on the f-4u

Such a great overview without too much irrelevant data but just the good stuff we need to know.
Bro the P-400 is my MVP!! She always come through

I really like the 360 free cam scenes and liked the good yet concise info
Awesome. That is like the exact type of video I was searching for. Not close but exact

thanks tankenstein youre the guy that got me to top tier now im grinding my second nation USA. much love man keep it up

you can use weapon selector and few keybinds close together, like a number pad!
Loving these big videos with a huge idea. Keep up the great work
Please make more of these

Very good idea for a new series. Waiting for a Japanese air tech tree.
P-400 is probably one of the best planes for 2.0, it has 50 cals and a 20mm, with pretty good speed and survivability
Going through US air right now for ARB. US air kinda sucks for props imo. They dont climb the best and they turn like bricks out of certain situations. Thats the prop meta, climb for 15 minutes into orbit or find a turn fight. Cant wait to get back to low tier jets

Amazing vid, would love to see one for every nation out there, especially the smaller nations.
I'm here to say : listen to this man, he has predicted the Iranian F14A "late" ( it has better weaponary )
Being new to the game and not knowing all the aircraft names, video of the tech tree would be nice for reference.
I hate playing the F4C and I wish I saw this video before I left the naval/strike aircraft behind at tier 4 because I’m stuck with the F4C 💀

you should do one on japan next
The p400 in tier 2 is the best. It's capable of fighting above its class due to the 20mm
Hate the P51s with a passion, can't lie. Besides the P-51 Mustang, all the others I do terribly with, with horrid W/R %
I’m still waiting for A-10C, USSR has gotten like 72 Su-25s whereas we’ve still got the same two A-10s since they were introduced
Really liked this video... would love to see more from other nations😁
Could you do a review of the BI rocket plane
Thank you sir 🙏
I love listening to this while cleaning my house

B-29 is the second highest prop in the entire game.
It's insane the B-29 and Tu-4 regularly see air to air missiles
@@michaelbeale559 B-29 Needs an up teir.
I may be in the minority, but i absolutely love the P-400
When u learn spiral climbing that thing is a beast
can you do this with UK tec tree
I love the B-10 and almost never get intercepted.
Now do Germany. Seriously, I'd love to see videos like this for any other tech tree, for any nation. Great info.
F-14a late would be goated ngl as a premium i would deffinatly buy it
Is there a British version of this video?
I can't follow all the names without pictures or nicknames.
Guys, the easy solution is just grind the entirety of the tech tree every single plane it only takes eight months
I'm grinding american tree "what the fuck is a kilometer"
ardvark has them shaky wings lol
THERE ARE 3 P-51s IN RANK 4.
you did not just call the P 400 bad
It's actually my only tech tree and I suck at this game 😅
Why avoid p400 lol?
P400 is one of the best early planes 😂😂
China next?
Please do germany
Bro, do Japan tho
man stole 20 million kills
tier 3 has better survivability until a russian plane starts going towards you
I watched it on toilet
NOOOOO P400 MY BELOVED
BRUH THE P400 IS INSANE R U JOKING
