Hey nice video! I would like to add a friendly reminder that CC (closed captions) would be useful and appreciated for this video ^^ (especially for deaf and hard of hearing people)

This is a really great concept for an rpg. Not only it can help young children learn how to do sign language (which is a boon for society) but it can pull in those who are interested into RPGs.
I'll be honest, if i were able to learn sign language thanks to this rpg i might use said language in other rpgs.

Indeed! Signing is cool as hell and would definitely work in other games with a few rule adjustments.

I am reminded of the hand gestures in some version of Ars Magica (dunno if it's in all of them, but I remember seeing it). They were also not required to play the game IIRC, but... I kind of wish they were. Both there and here too. That could make the game more interesting. Like, for instance, if the game master has to understand what you're communicating when you're doing the signs, and if he has to answer to that accordingly, either as an ally or as an adversary.
Better integration with the system would be nice.
The rock paper scissors -like mechanic sounds interesting... Very pokemon-like.

I like the sound of the nomination mechanic, curious if there are other games with something like that. It seems it would really help party members bond and stay conscious of each other's abilities in a well-balanced adventure.

This is cool. I probably won't play it. But it's cool to see something like this exisit for others.

My wizard uses Auslan for somatic components, I mess up a lot though 😅

This is a very interesting concept. I've thought about teaching sign language to my future kids and playing ttrpgs as a whole with them so this is a very nice way of implementing both of them. It would give a bit of trouble to translate to my country's sign language, but I think it would be worth it.

I’m super excited when I search for reviews and find that you’ve already done one here! Thank you for that!
You didn’t mention your cons to the game. Did I miss that or did you not have any?

6:58 I just didn’t label them as cons.

I love love LOVE the idea of an RPG with signing as a big part of the concept...
But I still don't fully understand how it's integrated into the game? How do they encourage or suggest signing to be used?
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea. I just want to know what the suggestions and expectations are. Is it primarily during the spell description portion of spellwork?

There are two of these in the Kickstarter area (Overisles and Inspirisles). I was going to get this one, but I am totally new to this issue. The question I have ... Do you want to do this one before the other? Are they connected in system or plot? If I learn one game will I know the other game on a functional level?

If this has BSL it should have BSL in this video too.
