Hi Rick, the nail in the front by the coin door keeps the coin reject button from gouging the cabinet when you open the door. Great work!

That's some next level pinball knowledge there, thank you. I was mystified by this nail too.

On the roll overs I still think CPR is standing too much off the top of the inserts. Once you get yours cleaned and buttons inserted do your rollover buttons fully seat flush when fully down or are they still 1/8" proud? I've seen they sit proud of the playfield which NOT how they should be they should sit flush. I had to modify rollover buttons and it's irritating, time consuming and not something the owner may want to do should they need to replace them.
On CPR I've also noticed that their clearing process is not the same quality. You can now see sprayer jet trails in the clear!!!!! Chris Hutchins has noted this as well. I'm letting these latest playfields I have cure some to see if it makes a difference.

These are pretty flush. Maybe less than 1/16th inch above the playfield when depressed. You are correct though. The original playfield inserts sit completely flush. Only thing I can think of is the insert they are using is slightly too shallow and doesn’t allow the base of the actuator to depress as far.

Pretty ambitious project, but you likely know that. SMDM is a great game and is worthy of this treatment. Oh, and it’s Steve Austin and not Steve Rogers. 👍
