This guy is a brave, rare talent. There's a method to the strangeness. His entire Snat album is very, very good if you're of that ear. If you like Can's Future Days this guy should be in your camp, posse, whatever. He's reaching for something, and I like that I don't exactly know what it is, and I doubt he exactly knows himself. Psychedelia lives.

Connan is the love child of Klaus Kinski & Phillip Seymour Hoffman. I saw him open up for SO MUCH FACE in NYC and he jumped up on stage with Tom Jenkins during the SO MUCH FACE set and they did like 3 awesome SYD BARRETT covers. It was one of the greatest things I've ever seen!

This guy Is far ahead of his time. No one will appreciate him now because his music is so different and out of the box people will not know how to react. This is unlike anything I've heard weird yes, but awesome. I think he may have just started a genre, even though I hate labeling.

For some reason i am enthralled in the psychedelic/melancholy vibes of this song and I can't help but imagine a scene in a movie of someone just going from place to place and there are a bunch of landmarks and sites being shot all while the protagonist is leaning back reminiscing of their travels with their long lost love and smoking a cigarette just vibin. lol if someone made that into a scene from a movie, id be pretty happy

Some of you all are going to think I am crazy, but first thing this music reminded me of was ... The Beatles! Of course think The Beatles much more trippy stuff such as Magical Mystery Tour / Sgt. Pepper era Beatles and maybe you'll see what I mean. Also while watching the video, it appears very tranquil as he is rowing, yet there is a rat running around on the shoreline. Then as he is laying down with lemon slice eyes, gold gloves keeping beat to the music, with what looks like Pepto Bismal for a mustache, I thought "This is a true artist". Funny, what I had just written "laying down with lemon slice eyes" is very reminiscent of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, or just The Beatles in general. So I guess I agree with myself. This guy sounds kind of like The Beatles! :D And in my world there are only a few truly great compliments I can give a musician, and I just gave one to Connan Mockasin. Incredibly trippy wonderful stuff.
