- The 1967 Shelby GT500 was huge for Ford. It was the first year of production for the GT500. With it's massive big-block V8 engine under the hood mated to a 4-speed gearbox and styling of this car which made it a legend. Check out all the fine details of this 1967 GT500, including a comparison with a new Shelby GT350.
Awesome Mustangs no doubt.
When I was 13 or 14, a neighbor had a black ‘ 68 Shelby GT500. He had a prosthetic leg and said it was too much for him and traded it for a GT350 ( green ) Then in 1970 he traded that for a 1970 Torino GT ( yellow) 429 Cobra Jet. His brother worked at a gas station where I hung out and he had a ‘67 Chevelle 396 and I remember riding in that several times. What a thrill for me as a kid. The good ‘ol days! 👍👍
Now that is an awesome story! Thanks for sharing that! It’s those experiences that make being a car guy so amazing!
@@RaitisRides hey should I buy a 65 gt350 or a 1970 gt500
On the 67 -GT500 - The Vents slide open from inside the car from back seats to let air flow in too !! So cool, great video . Thanks.... !!
You are so very right! Thanks for the extra info and for watching! I really appreciate it!
Now that’s a classic car and you know those are my colors I like that fox body you have in the background 👍🏻👍🏻😎🏝🌴
Elvin R Inoa I’m so glad you liked this one! I really love the cars!
Raiti's Rides 👍🏻👍🏻😎🏝🌴
Wow! What a beautiful GT500 (1967)
SpeedyWinds it really is the perfect color combo!
Some cars just stand out as exceptional. This car is a work of art. Absolutely perfect! Because the new cars perform so well, I lost the desire to own/drive vintage cars. But this one would be a thrill to drive and own. The owner is one lucky man. Huge thank you Joe for sharing.
I totally agree with you! Thank you for letting me share it with you!
You've got some pretty tight videos bro! Thanks man for the dedication
I appreciate you saying that Rich!
This is one beautiful 67 Shelby! I'll stick with the present and wait for the 2020 Monster we saw at Detroit auto show :)) Cool review!
I can't wait for Walker Ford to get a 2020 Shelby GT500! Thanks for letting me sharing it with you!
Awesome from generation to generation...
Thank you sir I really appreciate that!
Hey Joe! I believe the wheels on the blue one are replica magna 500's. Love that ruby red GT 350 . Great job guys 👍
Thanks David! I appreciate the input! I was just going by what the owner told about that car. What makes them look not original?
Awesome review from Raiti!!! I would take a 1967-1969 Mustang GT350/GT500 over the current Mustang GT350/GT500 anytime!!! Ford has always stayed committed to its classic American muscle car nostalgia and heritage. If you look at the current Mustang, it still has its traditional pony car style from the 1960s, but with current high technology. Beautiful car!!!
I am so glad that you like this one! I totally feel the same way! There is nothing like the originals!
Wow for my Ford, Mustang and Shelby, great stories all over the world, what a beautiful car, what excellent quality, a great Pony, thank you for this video in the best Raiti's Rides style.
Thank you for letting me share it with you! I appreciate the compliment!
Mr. McHorn designed those Shelby's from a wrecked Shelby that was used for crash testing. Sadly, he passed only a couple years ago. The roof scoops actually work to expel hot air from inside the car.
Thanks for sharing that great info!
That color blue is absolutely gorgeous !
I am so glad that you liked this one! Thanks for watching!
Acapulco blue
'67 all day for me. Truely American, and proposed by Carroll Shelby when he was alive. All steel, all American, no airbags. Absolute quality and beyond its time.
Got any videos on the Plymouth Road Runner or Pontiac G.T.O?
I am glad that you liked this one! I will wrangle some others together!
Beautiful cars Joe and Tom!! Love these Cobra Mustangs!!!
I am so glad that you liked them Dylan! Thanks for watching!
Another Superb episode! What a Car! Love learning about the cars you describe very very well and in-depth.
That is really awesome of you to say! I am so glad that I could share it with you!
Raiti's Rides i love how you also describe the car’s manufacturer as well, the details, the history snd links to modern car’s, this is why i watch your episodes, as i learn new things about the car’s you describe and their respective manufacturers. Please, more sports car’s⚡️⭐️✨💫
@@012_ljk Thank you so much for always watching and being so supportive! I will have more to come!

@@RaitisRides oh yaaa..lol
timepieces, epic cars. GT350 is what I want so bad, just an amazing car. Great stuff Joe
You are so very right!
I am loving the orginal shelby GT. Very detailed review as always.
I will buy a pair of his arms, but mine are pretty big too.
Alec J thanks for letting me share it with you! Maybe one day you guys could have an arm wrestling competition on Raiti’s Rides!
Such a beautiful car. He should be proud.
I totally agree with you!
Favorite car of all time! Beautiful
I am so glad that I was able to share this one with you! Thanks for watching!
As much as I love the OG, I STILL like the new one more!
I can totally understand where you are coming from!
Awesome review Joe!
I really appreciate you saying that! Thanks for watching!
damn 10k to 1mil. you’re the best!! keep up the mustangs! and other awesome cars. maybe you should do for a special your least favorite cars you’ve reviewed maybe they’re ugly or just not good for price or the engine just isn’t up to par. idk it would be sweet if seems like all your reviews are positive at least the ones i watch
Thanks for that great feedback!
nice vid...were the strips painted on?
Thanks Scott! No they were not.
Awesome video!!
I am so glad you like the classics as well as the new stuff!
Awesome ride.
I am so glad that you liked this one Kyle! Thank you so much for watching!
They can take as many cues and flavor of the old Shelby and apply it to the modern versions all they want, but these newer cars can never look as cool nor badass as the originals from 1967-68. There is just no comparison.
Thank you Ford / Thank you Walker Ford & Thank you Raiti's Ride-Tampa, FL. / For keeping the spirit of Americana alive from the first model-T to the "Shelby" GT 500 long live Apple Pie !
I am so glad that you liked this one! It was an amazing day and to experience this car was off the charts!
@@RaitisRides I'll bet it was ! 🌟👍👍🌟
Thanks for letting me share it with you!
It would have been really cool if you could have capped off your review with a drag race between both cars (although I think we know how that would have turned out).
Yeah I totally agree with that!
Wait, the gt500 had the engine replaced? the cobra-jet engine only enter in market in 1968, where it was used in the 1968 mustang GT500KR.
the 1967 used the 428 police interceptor engine.
By first car I ever phone was 1969 Ford GT 500 Mustang . Bought it 4 hrs yrs old for $1200 dollars ! Hard to believe huh? End it was owned by a Doctor Who put hardly any mileage on it and have all maintenance performed by the dealership he bought it from. I drove about four years putting tons of mileage on it turned around and sold it for twice what I paid for it. Now you can’t touch one of these cars for under at least 100 grand. It was a fun car to drive but nothing like the new ones that handle way way better and actually perform better with much smaller engines.
Do you wish you still had it?
Raiti's Rides Not really other than for investment purposes yes definitely LOL the new cars are so much more advanced handle better drive better all over better that I would much rather drive a new Mustang if I was going to have a Mustang that this old bucket of bolts which was all over the road when you took off in it LOL!
nice. coffee and mustangs awesome morning. Thanks man.
opossom1968 now that’s a great way to start your day!
Can’t beat a classic (1967 Shelby)
The new 💩 may handle better, but N O N E of em are in the same universe as the old school, cool...the vintage Shelby's & fastbacks are amongst my very favourites ❤
🇨🇦
I'm assuming that walker Ford hasn't received any new GT500's yet, and that is why you compared a new GT350, instead. I don't know Joe, kinda like comparing apples to oranges for me. Nice presentation though. Keep em' comin', thanks.
This was filmed back on 10/13/18 for the Raiti's Rides celebration so I just went with what I had! I would love to redo this review once the GT500 hits the showrooms!
Beautiful cars.
Thank you for letting me share them with you!
The old school will always be the better looking car. The modern version kicks the ass of the Camaro, challenger and corvette in the looks department.
I found this video on my news feed
Thanks for coming by to watch! I really appreciate your time!
Thats alright great vid
Thank you for that!
@@RaitisRides thats ok keep up the great work
Nice Original 67 Shelby GT500, but my favorite Shelby was the 69/70 Shelby GT500 when I was in High School!
I Have a Suggestion for a Future Show, Do you remember the UBB (Ultimate Bad Boy Mustangs) 1000HP Shelby GT500,s?...They were Built by my friend Tim Porter from 2007 to 2014 including the Widebody 1200HP Black Widow!
Well Today he started a new company called: musclecarautomotive.com He Specializes in Mustang's from the 60's to Current!...He introduced a New Series of Mustangs starting in 2015 to 2019 called the RS Series!
From the bottom is the RS750, uses a 3.5L EcoBoost Twin Turbo V6 out of the FORD GT Sportscar that's been Custom Built to 750HP, AWD and comes with a Auto Paddle Shift Trans only!...The Top Speed is over 200 MPH!
Next, is the RS900 which uses a Custom Built 5.0L Coyote Twin Turbo 900HP engine, is available in both 6sp Manual and 6/10sp New Auto Paddle Shift Trans!...0 to 60 is rated at 3.0sec.s and Top Speed is rated at 230 MPH!
Lastly is the RS WIDEBODY aka RS1000, which uses a 5.2L Custom Built 1000HP Voodoo/Predator engine, there is a 10sp Paddle Shift Auto Trans Option and is rated at 0 to 60 3.0sec.s (But I think it's actually Faster) and Top Speed is 245MPH!
You can go to his website for more Information and ask for Tim Porter!...I Hope he will give you a Test Drive in one of His RS Mustangs!...God Bless!
Thank you so much for sharing this information! I really appreciate you taking the time to type this. I will check Tim out!
looks like the website is not functional!
WOW!...It was working last month!...Now he did tell me he was planning to Retire, as soon as he finished up the Last Orders of Cars he had left to Build!
So, I guess he must have finished and closed Shop!...He had Built some Bad Ass Mustang's in the Past!
Well, My next suggestion is my Friend David W. Miller ll he is the Owner of brandnewmusclecar.com also known as "America's Premiere Muscle Car Builder"!
He can Build any Major 60's well known Muscle Car from the Major Manufacturers!
Of course I am a Ford Guy, so that means he can Build a Brand New 65-70 Replica or a BOSS 302/429, a Mach 1, a 68 BULLITT, a Eleanor Mustang, a Mustang Restomod, a Pro Touring/Pro Street Mustang and even a 66 -77 Ford Bronco Replica!...I am Just Saying!
You may have to ask him about if he can still Build a Brand New 65-70 Shelby GT500/GT350 Replica Mustangs!
So contact David W. Miller ll at his website!...I check it, it's Working!...God Bless!
Hi David! Thank you so much for the reply! The new link you sent me for Brand New Muscle Car is working. :-) Thank you so much for reaching out with your great suggestions! I It really means a lot! I'll let you know what I find out!
@@RaitisRides...BTW!...I talk to David W. Miller ll Owner of Brandnewmusclecar.com Today and I told him about you and your YT Channel!...So he is expecting your call when it's convenient for You!...God Bless!
You used to reply to the comments, what happened 🤔
oh...n whats the weight & the hp.?
Great question! 355 HP & 3300 lbs!
the dream car 😍
Dream big!
Wow looks so good. Better than current gt350.
Happy Cupcake thanks for letting me share it with you!
Comparing two cars without driving either?
Isn't that like comparing Coke and Pepsi, without a taste test?
I your analogy you are talking about the taste. I am going off the aesthetics. So I guess if you want to compare the two cans on looks that would be a better analogy.
Raiti's Rides, who in the world compares two drinks without trying them to see what they taste like? Similarly, who compares two vehicles, without driving them? If you're going to buy a car, stick in in a garage, and stare at it, then your comparison is valid.
@@bobforpples there is more to cars then the way they drive. The history, the design, the style, etc... To each their own I guess and I'm fine with that.
Joe, agree that "you've got to know where you've been to know where you're going," but you also have to know where you've been to know where you are. LOL Like 33k subscribers is where you're at. 13k was, well let's just say, like yesterday. :-)
It really is unbelievable the support and love that I am getting! I truly am grateful to have you on this ride waving along the way!
I'm always waving at and for you, but at the moment I'm also pulling for you, like "pulling" you Back to The Future. :-) Yes, I am from the future, just don't ask me what's in store for you, it's a surprise. Plus, if I told you, I'd upset the space-time continuum and you might end up Lost in Space and believe, me that's not a condition you want to find yourself in. I KNOW THAT FOR CERTAIN. They don't call me Space Cadet for nothing. lol
@@petercarey6883 Thank you for bringing me back to earth!
Well, until Space X starts to colonize Mars, it's the best place to plant one's feet. Stay planted my friend.
That is the only way I know!
No ride? 😢
Not this time! There will be more!
I love you man.
That is so awesome of you to say!
You're comparing apples with oranges. What about the 1967 GT 350???
The take away here is ... 67 "your cool", 2018 "your not"
67 ALL DAY LONG!
I am so glad tat you liked this one!
