    One question: is the Finnish 'a with dots' pronounced the same as the German 'a with Umlaut'? Danke, kittos.

      Thank you soo much! Yes, if you know the German umlauts, then the Finnish ä, ö or y will be very easy for you to pronounce. The Finnish "y" sounds like the German "ü".
