Eyelash extension artist here! :) all the glues say 6+ weeks, but you're right, the bond weakens at like 3-4 weeks. It may be a little less here since that figure is for when the glue is attached on hair and not skin. The woman who trained me on lashes said her eyebrow extension training told her a couple weeks but it only lasted for a couple days on her clients consistently (she opted out of offering the service because it definitely is a lot of work for what she experienced in lasting power). Definitely a beautiful natural look tho! Let us know how it lasts on you :)

If you're trying to grow back your eyebrows, I HIGHLY recommend Castor Oil!! Once I told my waxer to "do whatever you want" and she waxed them too thin. I didn't get them waxed for months to grow them out, but they never did, until I seen people leaving Castor Oil as well as Coconut oil on their brows over night, so I tried just using Castor Oil on mine for just a week, and had already seen noticeable results!! I'm currently still using it bc I just love how thick my brows are! Just a tip for anyone having the same trouble, aha :)💕
Wxsted Stxrs Yes, Castor Oil works so well! But just a tip-make sure to test it on another patch of hair on your arm or something before your brows. I've heard of other people that actually lost hair because the oil reacted differently with their skin :(

Omg honestly the BEST DIY you've ever done and that's coming from someone who loves ALL of your DIY's! I actually did my own eyelash extensions like three days ago because of your tutorial! My eyebrows are sparse af, but my natural haircolour is super dark brown, so I think that this should work perfectly if I can get my hands on that glue. Thanks for posting! edit: PS you could get faux fur lashes that look just as nice as the ones you have! You don't need an animal's fur more than they do, right? :')
Cleo Childress hey Cleo, do you honestly believe that they are gently brushes? Aside from that, mink being kept so that their hair can be harvested seems pretty cruel in itself. Imagine if we did the same thing to humans, would that be fine? I hope I don't sound aggressive, it's just something I feel strongly about. :) And I know other lashes can be used, but it would be great if Amber would stop promoting these lashes so that everyone would know to use faux mink or human lashes. :)
Tanisha Huiser I agree. It's not right that these animals are kept in small spaces and poor living conditions all for their beauty. It's selfish. Companies like to hide it and say they are "gently brushed" but they are kept in unnatural, poor living conditions. It's screwed up and gross. If you want real hair, then use human hair since it's more ethical bc god knows that if they did an undercover investigation and found out that humans were being locked up for their hair, the media would go nuts. Pretty sad how that works.

Ahh I want to try this so badly. I tried your lash DIY and it totally worked!!! It took me 4 hours because I'm so particular but I loved them! I removed them after a few days tho because I have diagnosed OCD so I pick at everything but if you don't have OCD holy crap they work. So I'd assume this would work too. You make the best DIYS! :)

Hi there! As I beauty therapist I just wanted to offer my two cents to anyone trying this fun & harmless DIY but technically the extensions should be glued to your eyebrow hairs (where you have them). The bonus to that is that they will last a lot longer for all the effort you are putting in. Great idea to get the extensions from trimming lashes, I'll bet that's far less expensive than purchasing 'brow extension hairs' separately! :) xx

These last 1 to 3 weeks unless you have oily skin, if so they'll only last a few days. Also.. DO NOT attach the hairs to your skin, attach to your eyebrow hairs if you want extra longevity. I own a beauty studio and once offered this service. Ive upgraded to microblading because most ppl don't think sitting for 2-4hours to have full brows for 2 days is worth it.
Microblading is a semi-permenant tattoo that last 1-3 years depending on your skin type/skin care routine. We draw hair-like strokes with the tool to mimic natural hairs. There a few videos on youtube showing how its done.
Pretty AsCanBe what happens if you attach the hairs to the skin? My eyebrows end at the middle of my eye due to obsessive hair pulling aka tritchotelimania and I wanted to try this :)??
Lit Fam Besides obvious health reasons....you shouldn't attach them to the skin because they wont last for more than 2 days unless you have extremely dry skin. You may get 3 days if your skin is dry and you don't wear make-up or moisturizer. It's just not worth the hassle if you ask me.
isabella mazerolle no unfortunately it doesn't....I have bleach blonde hair so over the summer I decided to do this same thing but I cut pieces of my hair extensions up to try it and I used that ardell glue and it didn't work😩 guess we're gonna have to splurge and buy $40 glue! But hey just think how much $ it would cost for just eyelash extensions at a salon! So right there it's worth the splurge!!
Honestly, it's not something I would do often. Maybe for a special occasion. It looks amazing, but it is hard to manage, if you have oil skin_ which I do.
honestly amber just has the best methods for everything because: 1. they cheap (good cause im broke asf) 2. They wayy better than other methods (way better than microblading!) 3. they always look so good :,) also we have the same name i never felt more blessed in my entire life
woahhhh i think you can just use ardell lashtite that people use to do at home eyelash extensions. its "permanent" lash glue and its about $4 dont go waste $79 people
Mia Mueller nope. Nope. Nope. Used that shit to put on diy eyelash extensions and it hurt like hell, especially if the glue came on my skin. Had to remove them a few hours after applying because I couldn't stand the feeling of them. And then the removing hurt too and it too long af. 0/10 would not recommend.
Klara Arvidsson I have that and used it but that didn't really help either. Some came off but a lot didn't, so I ended up using jojoba oil to remove it and even then it was a pain in the ass
Mia Mueller i tried the lashtite - doesn't work on skin for this use :/ if u REALLY don't care about th potential safety risk - I would recommend nail glue. It's $3 and works the same, I just didn't want to use that because it's not guaranteed safe but if ur willing to be risky, that's the best alternative :)

i know, but they're going to grow out inevitably so...would you just take them off and reapply? Bc she said they last for a month and it would just take so long to put them all back on after a threading

You're so bubbly! I love it! I had a horrible experience with waxing my eyebrows so now I just pluck them. Fortunately (or unfortunately) for me, my hair grow super fast so I usually pluck every other day.

Hi there! As I beauty therapist I just wanted to offer my two cents to anyone trying this fun & harmless DIY but technically the extensions should be glued to your eyebrow hairs (where you have them). The bonus to that is that they will last a lot longer for all the effort you are putting in. Great idea to get the extensions from trimming lashes, I'll bet that's far less expensive than purchasing 'brow extension hairs' separately! :) xx

These last 1 to 3 weeks unless you have oily skin, if so they'll only last a few days. Also.. DO NOT attach the hairs to your skin, attach to your eyebrow hairs if you want extra longevity. I own a beauty studio and once offered this service. Ive upgraded to microblading because most ppl don't think sitting for 2-4hours to have full brows for 2 days is worth it.
What Is Microblading Exactly?
Microblading is a semi-permenant tattoo that last 1-3 years depending on your skin type/skin care routine. We draw hair-like strokes with the tool to mimic natural hairs. There a few videos on youtube showing how its done.
Pretty AsCanBe what happens if you attach the hairs to the skin? My eyebrows end at the middle of my eye due to obsessive hair pulling aka tritchotelimania and I wanted to try this :)??
Lit Fam Besides obvious health reasons....you shouldn't attach them to the skin because they wont last for more than 2 days unless you have extremely dry skin. You may get 3 days if your skin is dry and you don't wear make-up or moisturizer. It's just not worth the hassle if you ask me.

isabella mazerolle no unfortunately it doesn't....I have bleach blonde hair so over the summer I decided to do this same thing but I cut pieces of my hair extensions up to try it and I used that ardell glue and it didn't work😩 guess we're gonna have to splurge and buy $40 glue! But hey just think how much $ it would cost for just eyelash extensions at a salon! So right there it's worth the splurge!!

Honestly, it's not something I would do often. Maybe for a special occasion. It looks amazing, but it is hard to manage, if you have oil skin_ which I do.
Gross how long did it last before it started falling? were you able to put water/make up/wipe it afterwards?
honestly amber just has the best methods for everything because: 1. they cheap (good cause im broke asf) 2. They wayy better than other methods (way better than microblading!) 3. they always look so good :,)

woahhhh i think you can just use ardell lashtite that people use to do at home eyelash extensions. its "permanent" lash glue and its about $4 dont go waste $79 people
i use lashtite to do my eyelash extensions, it works wonders
Mia Mueller nope. Nope. Nope. Used that shit to put on diy eyelash extensions and it hurt like hell, especially if the glue came on my skin. Had to remove them a few hours after applying because I couldn't stand the feeling of them. And then the removing hurt too and it too long af. 0/10 would not recommend.
Klara Arvidsson I have that and used it but that didn't really help either. Some came off but a lot didn't, so I ended up using jojoba oil to remove it and even then it was a pain in the ass
the ardell glue works good but the remover burns THE HELL out of the skin so be careful ! I literally thought I was gonna be blind forever
Mia Mueller i tried the lashtite - doesn't work on skin for this use :/ if u REALLY don't care about th potential safety risk - I would recommend nail glue. It's $3 and works the same, I just didn't want to use that because it's not guaranteed safe but if ur willing to be risky, that's the best alternative :)
