I hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. Please remember everything you see here is a complete one man production so forgive the odd error here and there like how I mispronounced Lampizator 😁
I appreciate it being real ! I find your videos to be extremely informative. You touch on all the important points. You do a fantastic job. And hey ya got to respect the accent 👍 Cheers
I wasn't going to mention hyperbole from an earlier episode. Love your stuff mate, who cares about one or two word malfunctions! Is it cos you is a Cockney? You should hear us in Oz!
😁 THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I DID, I BOUGHT A PAIR OF B&W 802 D2, and I bought my wife 👩🦰 HER DREAM 🚗… of course the car is long gone, but the 802s are still being enjoyed🤗❤️💚💚💚
Omg Terry what are you talking about you are way too humble. Some youtubers have a tonne of gear and crew but their presentation well lets say its not something to keep your interest. But your videos Terry are always fire. You dont repeat yourself multiple times trying to explain something and very professional precise and i love this channel. Very good work man.
When I lived in Lisbon, I bought several pieces if equipment from them, Miguel, Mesquita, Rui, they are all outstanding people and really taught me so much......never patronising or stuck up, very convivial and they always have an eclectic mix of Brands......
Love your channel. Havent been a subscriber for very long (6 months or so) but have learned so much, and upgraded my system according to your tests. It has made a huge difference. Thanks for taking the time, and energy. Please keep up the awesome work. Thank you from an oldtimer audiophiliac.
My dream Hi-Fi system would be a full nagra system. Consisting of the full HD line including the preamp the two monoblocks obviously the phono stage and then I would add the reference anniversary turntable. Nagra is one of those companies who's products I've lusted after and when you see them in the flesh everything is just so beautifully made and just so precision it's ridiculous. As to the speakers I'm kind of indecisive. Either I would get the b&w Nautilus or The magico M3 or the dali epikore 11. I've heard the magico and I've always liked the Nautilus just because of how cool they look although I'm not sure how well they would pair with the nagra, although I know the dali speakers would pair well
Nice one Terry ! For me the sweet spot would be the Martens hands down. Not only from your sound description but aesthetically as well. A real-world system if you will. I also love how they honour the jazz greats when naming their speakers. Thanks again.
Always good to hear Martin D now at Marten.. Formerly Audiovector and Primare before that (perhaps experience elsewhere too) Such great personality who understands the product tiers in a manufacturers range. Enjoyed the sum up of those systems Tel, Top content again 👍🏻
Know of but never really spent any time with their gear - I dont think they have much presence in the UK which is a shame. At least not that I am aware of
My Viking Acoustics has super tweeter, 2x12” bass drivers, Resonator port and of course horn mid range, with the Michi X3 has a very nice tonality and timbre. Never harsh.
Haven’t watched yet but did see the intro. Honestly, I have my dream system with an exception of the turntable. Maybe a big McIntosh integrated or a Gryphon 333 but it’s not really necessary. My Cornwall iv’s, two REL S812 and PS Audio M 1200 monoblocks sound awesome. Don’t really need anything more. But if I was dreaming…… 😂 Looking forward to watching the video. Cheers!!
I'll just say that the audience was getting into system two more than the other systems; moving about where the other systems, they sort of just sat there.
thanks for a little window into some extreme audio systems saw your video last year and find this all so interesting! curious nonetheless on the $$$ ... tho list the prices and all of the comments/envy lands there
One of the best Avantgarde speaker that I have heard until now, To be honest is the first one that I really liked from Avantgarde, having said that I have only heard them at shows ( not the best way to hear such a speaker, Kudos thus also to the ultimate audio demo room , was indeed a big room , perfect for this speakers. But if I have to choose a favorite room, was the one With the Marten Mingus septet loudspeakers and octave pre-power monos tube flagship amps ,…only a shame that the wadax brand has so much bling factor , ….well I guess ideal for a raper with dosh as a statement 😅 …. But, they are also very good , no denying ,…only shiny and chromed , and tiring to the eyes … Jokes aside , very ,very …nice system , the Marten are simply astounding !
I do not have the money for a pair of Marten Mingus septet , but I would like one day to hear the marten Parker duo ( without the diamond tweeter …..unfortunately still to expensive for my wallet)
Thats I can relate to, I have the Parker Trio here now and they have a lot in common - diamond version ceramic is not as clear and a bit more laid back
You seem to be the most interested of those in the room, one on their phone and another standing up using a device! I bet they sounded good but they are for a few buyers who are able to afford this kit and have rooms big enough for them! Saying that, if they were in my budget I wouldn’t buy most of it as it’s not particularly good to look at IMHO. 👍

I heard those Audionec Evos at another fair, in another room, with different electronics, set up by other people and my verdict was: "nothing to write home about".
We have all had that experience with some gear and then later hear it sounding totally different. That is why I said at start the Ultimate Audio guys knows phenomenal sound because just being expensive is not a 100% guarantee :)
money no object dcs front end, gryphon pre and power amp and proac k speakers…i own mark levinson gear so have a small taste of the high end but this gear is ultra high end
Playback Designs MPD-8 is probably the most analog sounding dac I’ve ever heard. The owner helped Sony design their first 8 track DSD recording machine back in the 90’s.
No reason specifically , other than I knew more information about some of the products than others, only some of the manufacturers were there in person and the video cant be 4 hours long describing everything. It has to be palatable for everyone to watch,
Well my hifi expectations are quite modest in reality.. just lots of lovely Luxman stuff … cheap (😂) compared to some but still an impossible dream for humble little me ..
What it looks like is irrelevant to me. What it sounds like is all I care about. When I was young and had gone to a lot of live concerts in concert halls this industry promised its goal was "concert hall realism." It never delivered so being an engineer I had to invent my own. It's a tough problem to understand and tougher to solve. But I have exactly what I wanted. It's patented but has no commercial value.
If you mean for us to spend that inheritance money to raise our late family members back from the dead with massive horn speakers it isn't such an egocentric idea at all.
They dont look bored, they look humbled there is a difference. Yes you dont have to spend this much to get great sound, however when you spend time listening to systems at this level it makes it hard to go back to "normal" systems. One of the guys there who has a system around £80k said after he attends this event he doesnt listen to his system for a week so it he can acclimatise back. Thats how good these systems are played in good rooms.
@@PursuitPerfectSystem Humbled? For this kind of money? I think they have more money than common sense. Many reviewers have heard these systems and leave disappointed. The point of diminishing returns?
No one left this show disappointed, there was several systems all offering something different and all great. Laws of diminishing returns does not exist, anyone who thinks that has not travelled and listened to enough. Normal shows do not count as the rooms are bad. This show was at a dealer with good rooms and that allowed the systems to perform to a higher level. Attend the show and you will see for yourself
Or you can keep that inheritance and put it toward your future health care costs and living expenses once you can no longer work. That time can come around sooner than you may expect.
So he spends 4 minutes describing the appearance of the system, 6 minutes talking about the alleged sound of the system and its characteristics, even dubs over music in the course of the video, and doesn't play A SINGLE DAMN SECOND OF MUSIC ON THE SYSTEM! I hate videos like this. Massive disservice to your viewers - let them listen and judge for themselves.
These are £1million + systems - what recording equipment do you think is needed to capture the sound of systems at that quality - what cost of recording equipment would be good enough and are you prepared to buy it for me? Then you are likely to listen to £1million hifi system recordings on £99 ear buds - you are not listening to the system not even 1% so there is no judging the sound for yourself. If you want to hear these amazing systems attend the event in 2025. That is the only way you can hear them. Now you have seen the video you know the event exists so I have done all 70,000 + viewers a service by making them aware of it.
I hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching. Please remember everything you see here is a complete one man production so forgive the odd error here and there like how I mispronounced Lampizator 😁

I always love your tours Terry, thank you. It's nice to see what is possible for some in this hobby 👌
Lots of beautiful gear. While the TT isn’t my cup of tea I can definitely appreciate why you like it. Love those Lampi’s and the AG horns.
Thank's for this presentation! Great job!👍
You’re right, that turntable is amazing.
Superb work Terry. You show many others how it should be done!
Thank you very much, really appreciate the kind words and support
Terry, the grin on your face throughout says it all! What a great video! My dream hifi can be summed up in three words: PATHOS + SONUS FABER! 👍👍
great coverage! Fortunatly i was there! Great audioshow . Small , but excelent !
Spend that inheritance! (Affiliate links down below) 😄
Hahaha great comment :)
Superb video Terry. Thank you and congrats. It's a tough job, but you do it so well. ;¬D Greetings
Hard to beat Marten speakers
This is a real treat! Thanks Terry. ..those Audionec Evo 2 are fascinating beasts.

Kondo ongaku is the dream amp, always will be, I sleep a lot.
those diffusser panels look very practical, cover a large area and look good 👌

I think this is it Train Spotting - Magnus Ringblom Quartet

That first one at 00:7 will do it for me. Accuphase and B&W, what’s not to like?
Doubtful horn's is anything natural
Clarisys Audio, Alsyvox, Magnepan 😊

Its a bit too expensive for me. Have you had the chance to listen to the Project Speaker box S2? Would you do a review? Thank you.
Enjoyed the video. It would have been interesting to be told the cost of this equipment, or at least, the speakers.
Great Video! How quality content! Very informative! But you dont need to nod that much during the interviews. :D But I guess its just interview style?
I will soon have inheritance to spend but its going to go on a rocketeer mx5 but some may go on a new cartridge or headphones.

Did not have the opportunity to hear the audionec speakers unfortunely , I was there only Saturday ,and to about 14:00
They might not have been playing as they were being swopped with the Rockport for half a day each i think

You make every video a party 👍. I thought ; he is in Lisbon so there will be a meeting with John Darko.
John went back to Berlin the same week maybe that was on purpose so he didn't have to buy me dinner

that gryphon oh my its like a small car lol
How about playing a test track for 10 min. Alternating the 3 setups? Then.. Great video! .

Real question is. How does this sound playing napalm death
Great question
I imagine that this system playing Napalm Death would sound shockingly close to hearing Napalm Death actually playing.

This is nothing more than an updated version of the Lineaum speaker system that was available in the United States in the 1990s.
While it would be fun (for a short time), I have concluded that PPS will not be my financial advisor.
