After my wife died, and everything I had built my life around died with her, I drove back to settle into my new home. My new life. There was no longer anything I could do, it was over. The only thing left was to force a smile, accept the madness and carry on. I listen to this song and cry with you, pomni, life fkn sucks sometimes.

this music, in my opinion (as a musician), is one of the greatest pieces of music i've ever heard. it comes on par with "christmas kids" and something like "libet's delay".
the melody, the ups and downs symbolizing happiness and sadness eventually turning to insanity, the chorus at the end, a perfect ending piece.
with the original theme, it's bouncy, it's fun, it's featured at the start of the episode "pilot" and the end is that version but with a spark of glory.
i cannot describe how good this song is, even though it's just for an indie animation series, it takes the potential it has and does a sixteen factorial with it, just, how the HELL could you get it to this point of excellency gooseworks i do not understand.

Imagine entering a metaphysical world of madness, something that overlords every sensory organ you have, all information becomes threateningly imperative, physical reality melts off of your mind as the unknown bakes your soul.
Everyone is saying this song is creepy and hopeless, but when I heard it, I thought of it as the exact opposite. To me, it sounds very hopeful, like the song you’d hear in the penultimate room of a game before the final boss.

I think it's the irony and the fact that every few notes in it almost sound sour, given the situation, that make the song sound hopeless. As if the happy-go-lucky tune is mocking her, in a way, while also being JUST eerie enough to serve as a reminder that there really is no hope
That's sorta the point it'd supposed to sound cheerful but when it's paired with the actual clip it only accentuates pomnis despair and the fact that she's trapped forever. In fact the actual name of the song is "your new life"

I know people relate to the despair hidden within this song, but to me, there is hope hidden in this beautiful masterpiece.

Gooseworx is genuinely an incredible composer, everything down to the very sound pallets she uses here are just perfect. The while the rest of the orchestra are either real or very real sounding, the strings are so obviously artificial. The way the strings’ sound is designed makes every note feel harsh and aggressive as it pushes the melody forward, making the occasional leap to an octave that just doesnt make sense. All this seemingly happy and bittersweet melody in the orchestra is underscored by the incredibly intense sounding choir that adds this essence of drama and grandiosity. It sums up the ending of the pilot perfectly, nothing is real, you’re stuck here forever, you arent going to like it, but this is your new home.

I'm not going to lie to you. Since I saw Digital Circus, hearing this at the end made me cry a lot, the song is incredible. I have it in my head so much that I can't stop listening to it over and over and over and over again, it has become one of many of my favorite songs. They know what they are doing with songs...this is great.
