    Even as a spectator, it is hard to know in which direction Emma is going to hit the ball. She makes crazy angles and it comes without warning, plus she scrambles pretty well. That's why she's winning.

    • @jgunner94
      @jgunner94 3 года назад +9

      Not just scrambling and her speed. She has a great serve it looks like and return, her backhand is particularly strong as well. Not seeing any obvious flaws in her core attributes which is really exciting for such a young player.

It was difficult for me to choose anyone as a winner. Emma came on top and Lehlah short. Can't wait to see them play again.

      It’s called, the highlights. They are obviously gonna show all the highlights of the game. Emma didn’t win all the points straight but it wasn’t like the other girl won any exciting points and also, Wimbledon is a UK based game. We haven’t had a girl win any major games for years. To have a British girl win major points and games the paparazzi and Wimbledon are all going to make a big fuss of her she made history! Revisiting this game after her second round win in 2024...She had the skills there and has it still. She's seeing her hardwork paying off after missing last year. She's on the right track.

    Awesome win from Emma, what a talent! However, knowing British journalism, I hope she won't be pressured by the British press by prematurely putting her on a pedestral of champions.

    I can't tell is her play more similar to Radwanska or Wozniacki. She clearly reminds me of Aga, but with greater offensive power - the one that she was unfortunately missing. Hope to see more of her on the tour. God bless her!

    Extremely unprofessional Wimbledon, I had higher expectations. Only showing good points from Raducanu just shows how desperate the UK is for a decent female competitor. Be a bit more neutral...

      David: I watched the all match. Raducanu was spectacular. I think Cirstea felt the pressure of the people supporting Raducanu. Sabalenka said she was overwhelmed when she played against Boulter.

      The only points Cirstea won were awarded to her through Raducanu's persistent racquet abuse which was very conveniently edited out of these highlights.
      Raducanu is a very talented player with a lot of potential but her temperament is extremely suspect and volatile.
      She needs to address this if she wants to have any chance of winning a Grand Slam.

      it was only 2 months later so she prob only grew a little, but she was definitely calmer and way less hyper and look what happened, transformed into a record-breaking assassin on court winning 10 matches in a row in straight sets lmao...I'm still convinced she'd have made the Wimbledon quarters if her temperament had been similar then...but considering what she learned from that to go make history at the US Open who even cares about what could've been at Wimbledon lool, what a comeback
