Denise it’s so good having you talk about this. It’s good for young homemakers to hear that just because the word “traditional” is being used doesn’t mean that when needed or even agreed upon men/women can take on those roles considered to be gender specific as well. I remembered hearing Dr. Toni Evans talk about how he never washed dishes in his 30 year marriage. When his wife fall ill, guess what he found himself washing dishes because she couldn’t. And of course I’m sure you both could hire someone but to me it’s such a labor of Love to show your spouse you’re there for them. Mr. Jordan is a blessing and you’re blessed to have each other. Keep up the wonderful work Denise and take care of yourself. We need you. Much Love.

I am recovering from two big spinal surgeries, almost three weeks post op.
I so agree with you.
The hardest thing to do is accept help.
I will be starting physical therapy very soon. Hopefully I will be allowed to do a few things around the home.😅

I was having vertigo just before i went on vacation in March.(first time for me) It was a daily thing and i couldn't stand up. I concentrated on making sure i was drinking enough water and stop taking a pain medication i had for my knee in hopes that would help. It didn't stop till we started the vacation. It turns out i was so anxious about traveling long distance in the car and getting to our destination. The dizziness stopped as abruptly as it started.

Hi Denise, good to see you. I pray that you feel better soon. Glad things are good now with the washer.
Ha! Check out today’s live stream. The washer went crazy and backed up into the commode. The plumber literally just left. He had to snake the pipe all the way to the street. Tree roots had gotten into the sewer line. He said we should have them out again in two years just to keep the roots cleared out.
Hello Mrs. Denise. Wow! I thank god that whatever you smelt didn’t prosper! Thank god for the power of prayers. As you know as being a Nurse we always need to air on the side of precaution. 🙌. I’m happy that all ended well . Thanks for sharing because I’ve been praying for you. I missed your live 😢. Looking at the video now as I type. The New aprons are so adorable! I see that your hand that had surgery wasn’t your dominant hand . Thank god for that. But the when we are knocked off our track we need to remember to prioritize! Yes lord. So happy you’re ok. I know that was probably very scary. Like you I always say my blood pressure is the only thing I have that’s good. Everything else has fallen apart 😅
Girl yes! I’m probably one of the few black people that don’t have high blood pressure then all that craziness. Let’s hope it stays down and in the normal range.

Also, Gas furnaces and stoves can burn the fumes of paint and make a nasty smell. I've experienced that before. I've felt sick like carbon monoxide poisoning. I bet it was the paint fumes causing that issue.

Did you have carpal tunnel surgery? When I had it I was not allowed to pick up any kind of pots or pans or anything until about 6 weeks.
No, not carpel tunnel. I had two huge ganglion cysts on the back of my wrist. No dishwashing and no nothing for about three weeks. Much better now thank goodness.
