Goes to show just how deep that "us vs them" programming runs. Most folks are so deep in it they don't even realize that two things can be true at the same time, everything has to be in a constant state of conflict or else it does not compute. If ya look around this mentality runs straight through nearly ALL aspects of life, society, and culture. This mentality is divisive and leads to stagnation, good reason why this sort of "nostalgia-porn" is so popular right now, people are afraid of enjoying something that doesn't conform to what we've all been conditioned to think of as "good", when it's entirely subjective.
