Everybody's bashing Clare in the comment section but I feel her. Eli was later revealed to be bipolar and would lash out at Clare on numerous occasions then would ignore Clare for months and months with no explanation. He also never fought for Clare the way she fought for him. They're my favorite couple on the show but in every relationship one significant other loves the other way more. It happens.
