Personally think doing this in National League North and South would be more interesting because it would start slow due to the bottle neck and I reckon some would still be in non-league in 50 years whereas others would be winning the Premier League. This simulation has no competition after a while as the same 20 teams will always be in the Premier League. It would also be interesting if transfers were added see if teams in Tier 6 could keep hold of their gems from the likes of Man City and Liverpool.
It would add a different dynamic but in 20 years all those teamd would be in the prem/championship because there'd be an overflow, so relegation and promotion may be more varied. Removing future transfers and the transfer embargo would change things massively. Maybe an idea for a part 2
@@jayhuahua Well there's 48 teams and only 4 go up each season then the bottle neck to the EFL itself of only 2 promotions. Bearing in mind that the stadiums will have to be changed to enter into Europe. There would be so many different dynamics. I feel although this video had an interesting idea every league felt samey from the perspective of promotion and relegation. But there's plenty of wriggle room for improvements. Would love to see a part 2 with these ideas and maybe some of your own
Oh yeah. I'll be honest, my initial idea I wanted to remove relegation but couldn't work out how to do it haha. I settled on the Prem, but yeah if I did Vanarama North & South would the first batch of relegated teams who go out of the playable leagues come straight back up? Does the game compensate in non playable leagues like that? Would we get teams who are in the championship for years winning cups, in Europe and winning European competitions. It poses many variables and could be very interesting. It'd be an enormous amount of admin so if I do it, it'll take a while 🤣
@@jayhuahua i have a crazier idea not sure if it would break the game or not maybe ill try it myself but maybe you could try putting perfect players to every single team from the prem right down to National league north and south
That's a great idea, however the sheer amount of admin is insane. This video was mental, and that was 1 20 team league. You're asking for like another 160 or so squads 🤣 8 times the amount of admin. If I start the database noe maybe I can bring it out by the end of the FM24 cycle haha
Interesting, but still begs a few questions: 1. If all players are perfect, why so few teams represented on England's National team? Is representation based on a club's reputation? 2. As each club had it's normal staff, what impact did staff have on how clubs fared? 3. Considering you made the same "perfect players", you designed the perfect players based on what formation? What impact did team's formation/tactics have on the success of players - especially considering many of these perfect players didn't necessarily fit a club's tactics? 4. How much did Southampton's reputation improve?
All good questions. I do find it interesting that some of the higher ability managers didn't thrive. It'd be interesting to delve into what formations did best throughout. I'll boot up the save and see what the team reputations climbed to later 👍
What I think can be a reason for the league dropping to 2nd place is that the teams being relegated that season being teams who scored a lot of points for the coefficient in the seasons before. Them not being in the Premier League means their points no longer count for the Prem, but they do for the Championship.
Have you done the perfect manager? Ralph Hassenhutel with all 20s, what can he achieve? Put him wherever you want, and see where his stats takes him? Another perfect manager at the bottom of the league pyramid aswell maybe? And one last perfect manager in charge of Gibraltar or San Marino? Or somewhere else fun, maybe you got an interesting suggestion? Maybe Norway, they have decent players, and some top talent, but never close to winning anything. What I want to know is, how much does the pefect coach affect the performance of the teams they are in charge of? :) Great vid as always mate!
I have tried some perfect manager videos but annoyingly they retire very early a hell of a lot. I did manage to do a reincarnated version of Ralph. And that was successful so maybe try something like that again but with attribute modification? Its on my radar. I will get it right haha
The ranking in the competition window is by popularity, after u run simulation for decades the top leagues may go to 190 a soft cap, and when you have 2-3 leagues have equal reputation the ranking is just random, it's really hard to break over 190, i think epl got 1st back due to bundesliga got reduced in reputation. Coefficients ranking is entirely different from that competition ranking window
@@jayhuahua Did actually remember it, since I found it funny that they did get 0 points. I didn't remember exactly which year tho, but I did remember it was pretty early.
With all perfect players you would think managers would make the difference? Have a look at the hall of fame for england. Has any manager made it to the top, or bounced around and won the league with a lot of teams?
Pep won a Carabao Cup with Southampton in 2030, Zvonomir Soldo (not sure who this is but he is Croation) won a lot with Newcastle in the 2030's, Jimmy Jay-Morgan (A southampton youth team player at the start) won trophies with Man City, Man United, Crystal Palace, Fulham and Newcastle. No1 else penetrated the HoF
@jayhuahua I will never get 'penetrated the hall of fame' out of my mind when I look at it. Thanks for checking. Possible experiment, same teams/players as this database but each team has a manager with all 1s, all 2s, all 3s etc etc for attributes. Will the 20s manager do better than the 1s manager given exactly the same players? Reverse the order so Man City has manager with all 1s and Southampton has all 20s. Make them unsackable by giving them a future transfer.
Just make the players and set future transfers in the pre game editor and use the in game editor for attribute freezing and tweaks. A lot of admin but quite basic stuff. I can't do any of the more complex stuff that I'd like to
Just 20/20 for everything. If you have the in game editor you can change attributes and hidden attributes then freeze them so they don't change. U must make sure you enable the in game editor when you start a new game. It costs about 5 or 6 quid
Bro do this all perfect players in every team in andorra and lets see if they reached the top 5 league status But this time, make the subs also perfect and all players should have their contracts at 50 years

A great idea, sadly I am not experienced enough at league structure in the editor to facilitate something like this. I wouldn't even know where to start haha
Less even than what I was expecting. By the way, I was thinking of something... what Detail Level have you set for competitions? As far as I know, setting a higher Detail Level makes simulations more "accurate", and that might make a difference, especially since you are unemployed, and thus the leagues might not have the highest Detail Level.

Yeah maybe but winning the european trophies will surely keep it at 1? Who knows haha
Love this one mate!!!!! Wonder if FM24 will be this easy to break the game too lol
We'll find a way 😉
I wanna know what the prem looked like 10 years or so after they all retired.
I didn't sim that far lol
Every team had a negative GD in the champ oml
Great spot, bit annoyed I missed that 🤣 a crazy simulation

Oh I never made those as videos. Just the Ralph one, but yeah ho and watch. Have a binge 😉 watch the ads haha
Now do an experiment where all the stats are set to 1. I wonder what the end of season stats will look like
I love this as a concept. Youth players would come through so I'd need to manually remove each season haha. But a great idea 👍
as a saints fan, i greatly enjoyed this haha
Its very Southampton heavy on the channel this week 🤣

Ahhh thanks for the insight
Blackburn wasn't the first team, Norwich did a 0-0-38 in 2035/36

crazy lol. did anyone make a signing over the 50 years?
No they all had transfer embargos for the while time to avoid that happening
Bro do this all perfect players in every team in andorra and lets see if they reached the top 5 league status
But this time, make the subs also perfect and all players should have their contracts at 50 years
All the subs were perfect. Each squad had 24 players, and ALL were perfect. Why Andorra specifically?
What is definitely the most surprising is that, Arsenal never won the league, infact, they were probably the ones who were relegated the most 🤣🤣
It was interesting that many teams after relegation and immediate promotion, many went on to win the league, so with so many relegations you'd expect at least one league win.

Could you do some sort of experiment with Cardiff?
I actually have Swansea Vs Cardiff earmarked for my next versus squad sim 👍 stay tuned 😉

Class
Appreciate it. Took ages to prep but well worth it. Very fun to see how it unfolded
What was the highest scoreline
Good question, I'll fire up the save file tomorrow and report back 👍
The highest scoring match was also the biggest win. Bournemouth beat Blackburn 14-0 in the 59/60 season
