I have 15yrs experience in NON-IT field. I now moved to DevOps recently and have basic knowledge of CICD.
I have no idea how the Jenkins tool & its plugins are utilized in real time by developers, testing team, manager's actions ( i mean their roles and day to day activities). Nightmare to remember plugins as they are plenty.
Need your expertise in understanding concepts in simplest way to understand the "IN & OUT SCENARIO".

good explanation!. Now I got confused on continuous deployment. I understand that after the code is committed and pushed and deployed in the test environment where it triggers the automation scripts and report is been broadcast to the team. continuous deployment can also be considered on the test environment or is it continuous delivery?

Continuous Deployment only means when u deployed the code in prod. If its deployed in other environments like CI, Demo, Test its a Continuous Delivery

ooo I didn't realize CD is Continuous Deployment & Delivrey, kind of thought that concept went hand in hand. Also for CI this might be a dumb question, but if the main change is in testing automation that would mean previously it was manually tested, right? So wouldn't this mean all the factors that a person can do manually have to be captured in the automated portion? Like checking if the code itself works, security review, checking if other features still work err right? Sorry just learning here.
