This is so powerful and intense. Glorious tribute to alexander character , capturing all his tragedy and compexity. Even though Im sure he comes back (hypothetically if series is somehoe renewed), it was still sad how he ended season 2 (no matter how messed up it was)

4:52: ruined me, the parallel between Alina pulling the sword and the one when she takes her hand and the room turns dark again speaks volumes. But I loved everything about this video and how you showed the depth of this character, it truly shows that he became the way he was because he didn't know any other way. He almost did with Alina. Almost.

Aleksander deserves justice for everything he suffered, the fold was an accident.. a consequence of the arduous attempt to save the Grisha from imminent death, to save his people there was no option but to be more powerful than his own enemies ..and therefore the use of merzost, the sacrifice of the darkling was not selfish...he had a purpose, and he is not a power-hungry or else he would keep the amplifiers for himself even though he knew that Alina would not join him, he gained power to protect his race from evil kings and cruel grisha hunters, he deserves far more than a lifetime of suffering, he deserves redemption, he deserves justice! #justicefordarkling #darklingredemption #savethedarkling

all i could say is aleksander deserves better so much better 😔😔i never saw him as a villain it’s not because it’s ben playing him but it’s because how ben portrayed him so well showing his emotions his vulnerabilities he was just a broken soul who needed some light in his immortal darkness and alina was that ray of light until writers ruined the whole plot. Shadow and bones will always be one of my favourite shows ever i would never watch again just to move on from the injustice they did to aleksander’s character
