Im loving all the sheet metal work yall are doing to the Mazda. TRUCKS makes me want to start building a second Ranger 100x better than my 94 extended cab Splash with a SN95 5.0 under the hood. It'll be cool if every viewer with a street inspired Ranger could send a picture to the show just to prove why Project Rolling Thunder is the best segment in the History of TRUCKS!
I know I have given you boys a lot grief about the ranger vs mazda thing and i stay steadfast on that point!!!! But I will give credit where it’s derived. This has been the best build on PN ever can’t wait to see the finish product.
That’s some kind a proof that it’s so much better to improve an existing vehicule, than buy a « new » one from... somewhere..! Trust your local shops and do what you can to let them improve their skills.. The best way to reach your dream car, for a better price and quality... Our future is Like that on any way... God bless you all (that’s already done...) Love you...😜
i love any racing construction projects but it is a bunch of work and money.. this is a good project to use as a model to custom build it to any one's budget.
Like most of the projects on these shows either a member of the show or crew owns it, a sponsor owns it or it’s a washing machine by now. That’s generally the fate of most tv vehicle projects.
Should have cut into the body and push the cage out everywhere as far as possible cut into the door and recess the door bar cut the a pillar most of the way out and make it part of the cage etc give er way more room inside
He had an extra fender from a couple of episodes ago. He could have done the front wheel arches just like he did the back and he wouldn’t have had to make filler panels from scratch.
this Ranger series and the road course mustang series that Lou was building are great! i winner what happened to Lou's build tho. i never seen it finished😕
What's wrong with three-piece forged wheels and T/A KDW tires? They're not the greatest tire in 2020, but were a pretty good choice 9 years ago when this show was filmed.
I can't believe how good this truck looks......probably the cleanest build I've ever seen on this truck.

Holly overkill!!! Thats a roll cage for BAJA rating!!! SCORE would cert that cage for triple digest in the dirt 🤣

Nice touch of the cameraman waving at the viewer through the mirror 😁

This keeps getting better and better
Wish they would slam all the segments together into one giant video of all these builds.
Thank you a lot! I’m 14 and want to build my own pre runner and this helped alot
Check out Wing's World channel , they specialize in Pre runner trucks .
Man this little truck will be fast all motor. Nice work boys.
If you want to see it done, skip ahead...she's been finished for years...enjoy!

This is a great build I would love to see you guys put a voodoo 5.2 with a 10 speed in some thing
Love to know where this truck is today as this episode is at least 10 years old

Those wheels and tires make me wonder why I watched this show for tips 😂

@@TheKiltedYaksman1 large chromes are never a good choice for race wheels.
On this car you'd only want a 17
@Drive YT Brand I know these are old. But my point stands. These wheels were 'trendy' but still never ideal for handling
2012 was 19 years ago?
You guys should make a second channel more uncut footage behind the scenes type stuff! #powernation2
This is so sweet I want to build a only c10 with a ls1 in is
stupid wide tires 🤣🤣🤣 love it
This is going to be sooooo Crazy Cool!
This has been finished for years.
@@mrschwifty5564 Lol, you're right - I commented "before" my morning coffee 😬
I've seen a few builds where they list the costs involved. Helps a guy figure out if he has to miss a few beers to afford a shinier piece of gear...
Do a dodge one with the Dakota with a hemi and a Chevy one with the s10 to compete with them all
Dakotas already had sport options like the shelby and the RT, awesome platforms
I'd like to see a stroked magnum engine build on a second gen dakota since I have one.
People thinking this truck isn't finished amuse me lol
Right, I remember watching this series nearly 10 years ago.
Yup lol I miss Sunday morning car shows. Shadetree mechanic was my favorite.
kids don't know any better
It's like no one notices the copyright tag at the end of the episode...
nice strategy change lol
I'm thinking about going with a black and royal purple / gold for my ranger build
that cage is overkill
EXACTLY what I was thinking! Project Altered Ego (Mercury Comet) probably needed this. What happened to "worried about weight"??
There worried because the inner mustang might come out lol
What do you mean by "BODY ON FRAM" Do you mean restore so you dod not take cab off?
Is those the kaase boss 9 heads
What tube specs are used for the rollcage?
hurry up and finish this!
It's been finished for years lol
that FTR brake kit you used is what required the work on the front.... 3/4in spacer is just dumb
I love the copper color. I would like to pain an engine that color.
you can pain me
Stop calling it a Ranger. It's damn Mazda with Ranger sheet metal on it and the title and registration reflects that.
I highly dislike summit. But I like that truck
Captain america..
👍💪💯
They gotta have 20k in this thing. Luckily they have sponsors. Normal people living week to week wouldn't do this.
I figure the drivetrain alone was that much or more...
It would have looked rad if they gussetted the main hoop to the B pillar.
