She's wearing a coral colored short sleeve shirt. If you watch the scene at the start in the sperm clinic I'm pretty sure it's the same one? Thanks for replying. Loved this movie since 2000 and it's one of my favorites
I played hearts and spades everyday for almost a year when doing time in prison and I always imagined how these 2 likely met in prison and kept playing hearts because it's so fun.
The Hearts analogy fit perfectly. Longbaugh suspected what was going on after coffee with Sarno. The game exposed Robin trying to "shoot the moon". My favorite scene of any movie ever made. Both Robin and the boys are playing the same game. ❤
He's explaining the plot to her through metaphor. Everyone is in it to win. She's trying to 'shoot the moon' by having the baby and the money and her life. But the only way to win in reality is to discard your heart; which is what they are doing. They don't want the baby or care about her life: they only want the money and they're willing to sacrifice to get it. They're heartless, but they're all playing the same game.
del Toro was telling Lewis how much she does not matter to him. Great film.
Anyone else notice that Juliet Lewis is wearing Parkers shirt? One of my favorite movies ever and I've literally just clocked that!!
I think you might be right; I never realized that!

I couldn't read between the lines but I understood what he was doing...this was right after Sarno showed him the picture.
That's creepy- benicio says😂
i never got this scene completely.. did benicio diss the girl? why did she suddenly tell her story, girl we didnt ask
Maybe she's trying to garner sympathy from Del Toro and Phillippe's characters. I mean, it almost works; they nearly kill each other soon afterwards.
