Gracias por este lección, cuando digo "llevo 5 años aprendiendo español" siempre lo pienso "I've taken 5 years learning Spanish". Sé que no es gramaticalmente correcto pero así lo recuerdo porque llevar también es como "to take". Keep up the good work.😊
¿Has estado en Granada este año? (= Place) Sí, he estado allá muchas veces porque vivo solamente una media hora de viaje desde esa ciudad bonita. ❤ ¿Has estado practicando tu español? Sí, he estado hablando con mis vecinos.👍 Qué has estado haciendo esta mañana? (= Time) Llevo un rato viendo un vídeo genial de ProSpanish y escribiendo ejemplos de HAVE YOU BEEN.😜 Gracias por tu buen trabajo a repasar esta gramática.😀
good lessons. It would be much more helpful if the teacher can WRITE in the english phrases , instead of blank blue screens. Hearing and reading at the same time do help in remembering the lessons and the words. Thank you
I admit my favorite thing about Sunday night's is awaiting the new pro Spanish lession. This starts out looking for all the world like a lesson about the "present perfect" tense. But then there is the strange wrinkle of Estar thrown in to complicate things. I believe "estado" is "estar" conjugated as a past participle right? What is confusing is that the next verb is in the form of a present participle like it was in the present continuous tense. For example "aprendiendo". Estoy Aprendiendo makes sense but you have presented an interesting new structure easy for the beginner but a real brain teaser for those of us who think we know a little. This lesson has motivated me to do more studying this week. I get that in English we say "I have been learning" and we just learned that the "ing" form of a verb is the present participle in another lesson. Maybe I am thinking to much.
You are thinking too much...don’t try to translate it literally... The verb llevar is commonly used as he presents it...some phrases will drive you bonkers trying to see the connection with English...”lo que sea..” that means “whatever” no direct or even close translation to English...
I felt similarly boggled by yet another tense. For me the struggle is knowing when to use it in conversation. Once I know this....for statements and questions forms , my brain calms down. :). Good luck
Great video again, however a little confused on the duration of time, using llevo, - i have been taught using desde hace and then time direction, or just hace plus time. ????????
i have been listening to your lessons and appreciating them but i notice when you speak english you drop the 'g' on your ing endings why? people learning english may pick up the mispronunciation
Hi I purchased your course one to six course. However I was having problems with my phone and lost it. Would it be possible for me to be able to download it again?
Apologies, not sure why the download email did not reach you. Could you email me at info@prospanish.co.uk and I'll send it, or leave your email address here. Whichever you prefer.
Example. " He sido una traductora, tambien he sido un un receptionista en mi vida. ESTAR + states / actions that change. VS SER+ permanent characteristics/jobs/ citizenship. Note you cannot say HE SIDO +VERBS! NEVER say HE SIDO TRABAJANDO. Not sure if this helps things. Estar is a helping verb ( to add other verbs to it). Happy learning!
Buen trabajo! Todavía estoy practicando en esto porque no he estado practicando mucho! Ya cuatro meses que estudiando español....Gracias por tu ayuda!
Puedes escribir muy bien si sólamente estudias por cuatro meses!

llevar is an old friend from the recent ProSpanish episode "que vs qual". In the earlier episode it meant to put on.
mucho complimentos!

I thought you had to follow a conjugated verb only with infinitives so why- estdo followed by present participle???
Great video again, however a little confused on the duration of time, using llevo, - i have been taught using desde hace and then time direction, or just hace plus time. ????????
Llevo+(time) +de + (infinitive) +
Llevo dos dias de trabajar aquí
Hope that helped...
Nice and always amazing thanks
I like this very much.🥰🥰
Can I say 'Como has estado' to mean 'how have you been'?
Yes! Pergectly fine.
Profesor, can we say "He estado trabanjando aquí desde hace dos años" instead of "Llevo dos años trabajando aquí" as well?
Both sentences you used as examples are good.
Or you can also say: he trabajado aqui desde hace dos años.
@@Leonardo-1 ¡Muchas gracías, Leonardo!
@@Leonardo-1 Leornardo, tengo otra pregunta. ¿Es correcto decir "He trabajado aquí desde 2019?"
@@LaLa-if3sr
Perfectamente ...!
He trabajado aqui desde el 2019 .
@@Leonardo-1 ¡Gracias!

Llevo is to carry or wear. Llevo 2 años aprendiendo español
Has ido a España. Works just as well.
I always get confused between
he estado vs he sido.
It seems hard to use he sido and I don't hear it as much so maybe it's not used so much?
Just bought your course from your website but didn’t receive anything afterwards
Liked before watching 😁
Hi
I purchased your course one to six course. However I was having problems with my phone and lost it.
Would it be possible for me to be able to download it again?
Sure, no problem. Just email info@prospanish.co.uk so I get your email - or leave your email address here.
good
Bravo
Hola, can you also say " hace dos años viviando en españa?
Hace dos años translates to, two years ago. I think tu puedes decir, hace dos años "vivé" en España.. to make them both past tense
I bought your course from Web site but didn't receive anything afterwards.

if I am talking with a girl, I have to change enfermo to enferma, no? so the sentence will become has estado enferma?
İf you are a man you should say enfermo, I think
What happened to using "alguna vez" for have you ever been to....
Why do you use trabajando instead of trabajado with he estado?
Because it's I've been WORKING. "trabajado" would be "ive been worked.
Yo entiendo he estado en Persia pero como usar -he sido- Ser- ? confuso, por favor diga cuando usar ser?
@Rompi kaushal we be always learned that estar is used with enfermo. Why do you use it with see?
Example. " He sido una traductora, tambien he sido un un receptionista en mi vida. ESTAR + states / actions that change. VS SER+ permanent characteristics/jobs/ citizenship.
