Jude Law's character reminds me of a wannabe entrepreneur I worked for. He had no profits, or at least it seems what little he made was squandered almost immediately. He couldn't hardly type, do his bookkeeping, or anything else related to running the business yet was very image-conscious and big on keeping up with the Joneses, even when he was in arrears to me and other professionals he'd hired - he was living a grandiose lie. The woman he's been with for years (calls her his wife but they aren't married) who he moved in with might be aware of the situation, but clearly doesn't care since she's a big-time enabler, constantly cleaning up his messes so to speak, footing the bill for big ticket expenses. The guy Jude Law plays seems like he's a con man as well. The line from the other (slightly longer) trailer where the wife says she notices his deposits are nowhere near what he's spending and he assures her "a big check's coming at the end of the month!" But she knows it's a lie. That's how these people operate.
Another movie about privilege and how insufferable it is . How about they do a film about two married poor people and the struggles they face within their marriage ? Just a thought ....
Rarely would I say what you see in the trailer is basically what you get in the movie. Usually a movie trailer completely lies to people by mis-marketing a movie or just hyping a movie up when a movie is actually dull or stupid. This movie however is exactly what you see in the trailer, just a whole lot of nothing going on for 2 damn hours. Honestly that fight scene they had was the only exciting that happens in this movie. I fell asleep for 20 minutes and when I woke up, nothing was still happening. This movie has major pacing issues. The characters are dull and flat as a pancake. And worse this movie tries easy too hard to be deep and meaningful when it's just not. My advice is to save your money.
At first glance, this is the kind of stuff my girlfriend and I fought over before we broke up. I wanted BIG things, I wanted family and love and children, but also new experiences, victories and triumphs. Climb Everest, get a bike and ride around with friends, backpack through South America and walk Santiago's Road. And my girlfriend wanted me to not have those and focus on the family we haven't built yet.
@@mikk818i that's the worst kind of advise I've heard ever. I would say the opposite: do what makes you happy. There's no reason I couldn't have both had a family with her and do the things I want to accomplish. It's a trait I notice with all the females. They want us men at their feet. I want my partner to be a part of my life, not all of it. On one hand I am sad we broke it off, but I can't help feel hugely relieved.
I think we should do what feels right to us. If it didn't feel right for you, you are free to leave, but if I were her, I would try to understand your point of view and respect it. I feel we girls are pushed a lot into having family as soon as possible. I am in my twenties, I am at uni and my mom is pushing me into relationships with other boys, just so she would have grandchildren... it's stupid 😟😩
Jana Šusteková Wait don’t be in a rush don’t make the mistakes I made having too many children too young live your life enjoy travel please think about you .
@@MaggieJaneSimpson It is stupid and it's the same for guys too. All I hear from my parents is that they want grandkids. My parents married young, in their 20s. I have an older brother and two older cousins. They all married young as well and only the oldest cousin is still married. They're a happy family by all accounts, but they had a few bumps on the way. My older brother is divorced and my older cousin is in the middle of separation. He says they're patching things up, but he's rented out his place until September and is NOT moving back with her - it's over for them. That's 33% success rate. I feel like I dodged a bullet, and almost didn't. Women are born rich and die poor, and men are born poor, and die rich. So we gotta compromise and meet in the middle. I'd happily marry her and live the rest of my life with her, but she wanted things her way and didn't want me to do things that made me happy. I didn't want to bang other chicks, I wanted to do things I've always wanted and could only afford now that I had money. It's the same line from this trailer, where she calls him a poor kid pretending to be rich. Someone might say she's speaking unapologetic truth, I would say she's being a bitch. He's saying "I provide for the family and I also spend money on the things that are fun for me, what's the big deal" and she's all up in his ass with "it's unacceptable" and then proceeds to insult his character. In the current PC climate, I'll be surprised if they don't make it look like she's right all along. In case it's not apparent, this trailer hits close to home and I can't wait to watch the movie. The benefit of being in relationships is that I am solidifying my understanding of what makes me happy, getting BS out of the way and understanding what kind of person I want to be with. I'm understanding now that I don't want a relationship just to be in one. To paraphrase Tony Stark, there's a gray area between chasing girls asking them to date me and shutting down the few girls that give me the light of day, and that's where I want to operate.
Why they categorized this as a thriller is beyond me. The ONLY reason I kept watching is because they baited me at various times into believing that it MIGHT have something thrilling in it. This was the most boring, slow-moving movie I've ever seen. What a complete waste of time.
That’s why I’m not and will never be married 😛 I’d rather have kids via surrogacy. I got 3 siblings and they all became so miserable after they got married. It pains me to see them that way .

Horse
As soon as I saw troubled marriage + I bought you a horse, I knew that horse was going to die.
Hitchcock would approve.
damn...she called him poor
I wonder if there's a hot babysitter his character hires in the movie but it's not shown in the trailer ..

There's a few of those but they're mostly foreign films and don't get the recognition they deserve

Really too bad about all the smoking in this thing. Feels like an advert from the tobacco industry.

He doesn't know WHAT he is.A Kamikaze.
Worst movie i have ever seen. You will leave wanting your time back
So disappointed with this film. I think the acting is great but the script is terrible
little family dramas are so boring
