    As a Licensed Master Plumber this hurts to look at, so many code violations but thanks for giving me the general idea, going to be seeking a CAD and Revit course applying my field, code, and 10 years worth of experience into these programs to advance my career and make more money

    If you click a 90 degree bend, it will show you some small plusses. Click one of the plusses and you'll get a tee. That way you can continue your pipes.

    Thanks, but please next time consider that sanitary sewage needs slope. Also, connections have rules (like 45 angle required in-plane sanitary piping).

  • @hengly4059
    @hengly4059 5 лет назад +12

    You should use slope in sanitary Pipe like 1% or 0.5%

    Can't create this pipe.. revit says that it couldn't find a routing for the fixture.. this warning ain't being ignored..

    • @vasyll7631
      @vasyll7631 4 года назад +3

      First, you need to load fittings families for the pipe (e.g. US metric - pipe - fittings - generic (or which you want) - pick everything (elbows, tees, crosses, transitions...). Plus, try to make pipe from sanitary fixture perpendicularly (from closet, sink - straight down a bit, not horizontally, and then in XY direction). AND don't forget chose pipe - Properties - edit type - Routing preferences Edit - now in "content" chose your elbows, tees, transitions... AND change min. size to "All"

      Make sure you're using the mechanical template and load the connections and fittings as shown and replied above

    I am a licensed contractor, and this diagram will NOT pass code inspection. No vents, toilet drain angles in a backwards loop which will cause it to clog, sink drain not inside the wall... etc. and this is just a quick list of problems. The vid is useful for how to use Revit, but you need more plumbing knowledge so that ppl don't make drawings that will not work in the real world.

    and to lay pipe you need to set planes..So, I'm getting alot of that "gray circle' with a line through it.
    no plane set.

    I;'m having issues. I have opened a Mechanical doc and imported the bathroom doc into it. So far all good. The bit I get stuck on is importing the toilet as I can't seem to place it as the walls etc are not accessible for me. They show up but are not part of the file just an overlay. How do I change this so that they can host elements?

    • @SajmonZiii
      @SajmonZiii 3 года назад

      I think you need to have proper families loaded in, like an elbow connector to create the connection automatically. If you have that and still does not work, then maybe you do not have the ''automatically connect'' option selected.
