This song was played in the 1981 LA live concert which was televised by MTV. Probably haven't heard it since then. If anyone has that tape or DVD its on that concert footage. Keep up the great work.
Great song. Was the b side of the shown picture sleeve 45 in the UK. In the US it was the b side of Messed Around. Good luck finding the US single. The 1st time the guys in the band saw the UK single of this, I showed it to them in a bar in Milwaukee 1981.
They played it as part of their East Side Story tour in 1981 but I doubt it has been done since. It didn't feature last Friday in York which didn't surprise me.
@@mandy8390 Yes, I really enjoyed it (but I'm a bit biased!). All the expected singalong classics, a few popular album tracks and 3 new songs from the 2 albums expected to be released next year. I hope you have a good time.
The lyrics never cease to amaze me...along with guitar, piano, vocals.

Man Kyle sure does the title super well!
great again, didn't know about this b-side
Best band ever
2nd only to the Beatles.
it's a bit like "twisting by the pool" from dire straits, they brought back the twist
I miss the old days
Love Glen's guitar work.
Good one well put together!
Awesome job! My band has covered this song off and on for over 20 years. Why shouldn't you like it?
Never heard that one before, wonder if they'll play that on Friday?

@user-mz7gpni2l - this is taken from disc 2 of "Big Squeeze: The Very Best of Squeeze". Should be still available on Amazon or Ebay.
A later version of Messed Around?
Hi Nick. It would have been recorded at around the same time but I see where you're coming from. Both have a similar vibe.
Like other songs of theirs's this one has a Lennon thing about it if he played (with the Stray Cats)
Sounds like country and I hear a steel guitar into
this one is for PitStopExotics
I can't keep still! What's wrong with me?
Sounds like Western swing and it sounds like country
Preceded by the Piranhas' song of the same name, which I've just uploaded.
This seems like a Kyle song
