Making of two puukko with Japanese blades

  • In this video you will see me make two knives out of Japanese blades I bought on Dictum.de.
    It's a mix between Japanese and Scandinavian type of knife. The whole process took me about a year, from the making of the two knives until the editing of the video.
    I hope you enjoy it. More knife videos should follow.

    Really nice knives. One quick thing though... I do believe you are placing the knives in the sheaths with the blade turned opposite of what it should be. The cutting edge should be towards the welt, hence the reason for the welt. Just saying unless I totally missed it. I'm old so maybe my eyes deceived me. Anyway, really great work. Love the sheaths.

      It's true. It is because, when carried, the knife hang from the leather loop and when draw off the sheath the knife would come on the wrong side. So I reversed it in the sheath. But actually you can put the knives in both positions and it holds well ;-)
