강태홍류 가야금산조 협주곡 ‘파사칼리아’는 부산광역시 무형문화재 제8호 강태홍류 가야금산조의 선율과 리듬을 바로크시대의 변주곡형식 파사칼리아와 융합하여 전개된다. ……중략
처음 서주부분은 저음주제와 화성을 제시하고, 가야금 선율의 등장과 함께 악구맺음의 어긋난 대립구조를 나타내지만 곡이 진행되면서 서서히 가야금 선율과 저음주제와 화성은 융합되어 하모니를 이루며 정점을 이룬다.

‘Passacaglia’ Concerto for Gayageum and Korean Traditional Orchestra on Gang Tae Hong’s Gayageum Sanjo proceeds the solo melodies and rhythms with the gangtaehong-style gayageum, the 8th intangible cultural asset of Busan Metropolitan City, in harmony with passacaglia, a variation of the Baroque era. ……
The first introduction lays out the lower theme and chords and represents the contradicting structure with the gayageum melody, but as the song proceeds, the two different structures harmonize and converge towards a climax.
