The exact moment the car starts to move. It runs on GPS.

@@semireality Also, you can't measure simply by looking at the speedo. Factory speedometers are inaccurate, on purpose. For example, an indicated 100km/h will only likely be around 95km/h. Some are more out than others. You need to use some kind of wheel sensor or GPS timer for an accurate time.

@@PDriveTV Thanks I'm aware of that. The worst was my 2010 Liberty GT on 18" wheels. It's about 10% over the actual speed and I actually had a GPS speedo on the windscreen for reference. The reason I was asking that question is I often start counting when I hear the foot on the pedal

Nikon D750 with Nikkor AF-S 24-120mm lens for the exterior shots (lens chosen mainly for photos). Rode shotgun-style mic for sounds. And GoPro Hero 7 for the in-car footage.

There is a little problem with the braking figures. The time difference is 0.02 second, but the distance difference is 2.7 m. This is impossible, as @ 100kmh, 0.02 second is 0.55 m.

There is a big difference in acceleration, despite the Audi offering 15kW more power; there must be a difference somewhere.

No mistake made. The tare mass of the Audi is 2120kg while the BMW is 1772kg. The Audi is just a fatty.
