I grew up in California. My dad worked in the fruit packing industry so in the summer we always had boxes and boxes of peaches all summer long (they were the culls - ones that couldn't be packed for various reasons). I live in South Carolina now and enjoy southern peaches. I found a place where I can buy the culls for a whole lot less than the nicer ones. After growing up on free peaches in abundance, it's hard to cough up the money for premium peaches. LOL
I bet!! I would be the same way! LOL.
Those pesky oven spills are why I switched to a mat in the bottom of my oven, saves me so much time ugh. Tart looks great❤️

@@aquaintlife I got mine yrs ago at bed bath and beyond. So I just googled oven liners and a ton pulled up, from 5.00 up. They help sooo much and are sooo easy to spray off!

@@aquaintlife I'm watching your orange marmalade video right now and I have a quick question. I canned up some pints of mandarin oranges this winter.... I'm wondering if they can be made into marmalade. They don't have peels on them. Trying to think of something creative to do with them. I made pear butter at the same time I canned the oranges ever tried it? Is very tasty.
@@tracycavallucci5367 I see. That’s really neat you were able to can them! I had no idea you could. The one issue would be the peels. The peels have pectin in them and so that’s why the jam sets without me adding any. If you want to use the canned mandarins , I would add some pectin to make sure it sets otherwise it might be runny. @@aquaintlife thank you I'll give it a try! And yes the fresh mandarins can up beautifully and taste so much better than store bought. I used a light simple syrup for mine. They're fabulous you should give them a try🤗
