I have purchased your wildlife pan pastels and also the soft tools and pastelmat paper. I am finding the paper is shredding the tools after one application and they don't move the pastel around. Any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?

the spade type tool wear out very fast, the small make up looking applicators last a LOT longer, the finger sized sponges last MUCH longer.
Panpastels look smooth when you add more and more layers.

Thank you for your reply, I will persevere and use more applicators than sofft tools. Loving your work Jason, my aim is to become an accomplished artist like yourself.

@@JeanetteTharme If I may add, to make them last a little bit more, make sure you are loading the sponges well with pastel, the second they stop depositing as much pastel, load them again. The pastel acts as a barrier between the sponge and the paper. Don't rub them hard against the paper, more like gentle swiping. And don't try to blend with them unless there's several layers of pastel, since pastelmat grips the pastel and won't move much unless there's several layers already.
