This crop takes too much minerals out of the soil, rotate with barley and oats. In different seasons. Keep the straw on the land to build good soil. In 2 or 3 years every 1/3 crop of straw can be used to expand vegetation in less irrigated areas.

@@ALANLEEY You are just arguing without knowing anything. Farming here is done using technology and machinery. Therefore, cultivation can be done without any wastage of water and with less manpower. Israel and Saudi Arabia are similar countries that export products by farming in the desert. The same system is used for farming here.

It's affordable, local wheat and hay and creating jobs inside the country is so valuable , and mass production with high teck make the optimal use of resources .
Congratulations UAE for achieving this! All countries deserves to be self sufficient in food resources and energy.
They need Israel support 😅
@@amrithMilW why?
The farm could do with trees in the missing gaps between the circles to strengthen and build the soil..

Everyone on planet earth MUST support these projects!
These project can create massive flood for them but small scale would not harm
Israel technology 😅
Great job by Sharjah govt. Happy to see wheat 🌾 farming
They are puppets , planting genetically modified wheat when the rest of the world has rejected it.
Good job over there! Also good job on the donated housing from the soccer game for the earthquake victims- you guys are really starting to look solid.
Congratulations to Sharjah Ruler & Residence. Appreciate..
Wonderful Congratulations
Great project and I am expecting this project will not only fulfill the local needs of UAE but export is also possible in the future.

Incredible 😮 farming in desert truly marvelous.
From where the irrigation water (60,000 Cu.M/Day) is coming from? Is it treated effluent, ground water (Borewells) or desalinated water?
Treated sea water.

I want to invite all brave rulers who rule my country. My country going totally waste by corrupt government.
Qayamat ki nishani ?
I can see these farmland from google earth. Its big
What about soil
If they are using desalinated sea water, then the crops produced will be very expensive.
Can we have the location of this farm ?
If you have unlimited access to cash, most projects are possible.
And cheap labour workers.
You've got to be kidding me!

Cost of production ?

Lesser than Import.

What are the consequences?
Just for show. Cost outweighs the benefit.
The production is huge, so the cost is less than Importing from other countries.
